PlayStation Plus subscribers can now download a fantastic-looking Horizon Zero Dawn theme for free for PS4 in Europe. We're waiting for confirmation from Sony on the North American release.

The 11.9MB PS4 theme was released today and is exclusive to PS Plus subscribers who are currently anticipating the annoucement of the PlayStation Plus March free games this week.

So I just recieved a notification Best Buy delivered Horizon: Zero Dawn a day early. Still unsure if I want to keep or return it. I kinda want to open it when I get home, but have a Switch and Zelda coming on Friday.

I am getting Horizon but I am still getting Zelda and switch to. Heck I have like 10 games I am getting this year. So it is not stopping me. How ever once Zelda comes out I may be playing nothing else for like a month.

That's what I figured. Game is gorgeous by the way. Even more impressive than the visuals is how well the game runs. Everything moves so smooth.

I won't have much time to check this out tonight, is there like a big cut scene and story before you can actually play pretty quick? Wondering if this is worth even staying tonight or I would wait until tomorrow evening....

Just got home with my Collector's Edition. The statue is super detailed and I really like the CE theme. Install looks like it will take about 30 minutes and I'm already a half hour past bedtime. Looks like tomorrow will show me what it looks like on the Pro.

I have only played for about 45 minutes. Given such a small sample size, I can't really say much about the game.

I can say, however, that it definitely looks and runs fantastic on my Pro. Not sure it "blows me away," as in a "screen for screen" sense it is similar looking to UC4 (IMO), but given the massive scale of the open world to have UC4 quality graphics in a game of this magnitude, it is quite an epic feat.

(Edit: what I mean here is that only that I have seen similarly awesome graphics in UC4 before. Not saying those graphics aren't astounding, just that it is hard to "Blow Me Away" when I have already experienced similar quality as far as screenshot for screenshot. The open-worldness of this game puts it on a whole new level though.)

Really feel like this gen is starting to catch up and come into its own after a rather slow start. Over the last 9-12 months I have had probably 6 or 7 games come out that made me say "now I feel like I am gaming in a "next generation" that was sold to me 4 years ago." The current gen is really starting to see it's standout titles and defining moments, which is awesome.

With Nioh and this out now, plus The Show and Nier (which seems like an amazing game) coming out this month, just a great time to be a gamer.

Hope you all enjoy the game. I know a lot of us have waited patiently for this baby.

About an hour in myself and truly the graphics are just amazing. Everything has been running very smooth, and I can't wait to keep going on with this adventure. I will refrain from talking about the game until I am a good bit further.

Agreed.

I have managed to avoid all spoilers so far. I didn't even really watch too many trailers or read too many previews. I did scout the non-spoiler impression thread on GAF. Some people on there seem to say the story is only "meh" but either way I am excited to go in fresh and find out for myself.

Which I have just barely tasted the game, can't help but feel very optimistic about the experience this game offers.

This game looks great! Just played it for about an hour before going to bed and I can tell this is going to be a great game. Graphics look really nice on the pro.

I will be playing tonight. I will give my first impressions as well. I have only watched one trailer. I was totally asleep on this game. Just a week ago I saw this coming out, watched a trailer and said **** it let’s take a chance on this game.

Can’t wait to play it!!!

Have loved every second of it so far. The weather effects in this game are amazing. Something so satisfying about pegging a watcher rught in the eye from 50 yards away with an arrow.
