The quality and variety of W3's quest library just seems almost perfect. Will be hard to top for a long time.

HZD draws me in more with the immersive environment than with the writing/quest direction.

Yeah, encountering a lot of fetch quests and go rescue this person quests in HZD. I'm not extremely far in either so I'm hoping it varies some going forward. But I don't see the world coming alive, it's just not populated the same.

Right, and I'm not trying to knock this game at all. The combat variety and controls are better here than Witcher. It's just as an overall package, so far I wouldn't put it on the same level.

Just how I play game like this.. Being ex-military always has you playing like this for some reason.. more tactful.

Witcher is a better overall game than HZD mainly because of Witchers world building, and top notch character development and investment. Horizon's gameplay is far more dynamic and inspired than witcher 3.

Honestly, if Horizon did more with its maps, and had more memorable characters (even Aloy is a bit dull), it could have a shot and dethroning W3 this gen. Not quite there yet but and extraordinary start to the franchise.

I agree with this. This is basically what I was trying to say in my long post a page back but I didn't articulate it very well.

However; I do honestly believe that someone more interested in an action-adventure game would like this more than Witcher 3. Just like anyone more interested in RPGs would like Witcher 3 over this.

I don't think they are the same type of game, or are trying to do the same thing, necessarily.

It's almost not even fair to try and compare this to TW3. Horizon is great and I'm having a blast with it, but TW3 is the game that knocked Red Dead Redemption from the top perch for me. I don't know if there will ever be another game as good and if so, it's most likely waaaay into the future. Maybe, The Witcher 4. 😉

Hey this is a dumb question and something I should have figured out by now but here it goes:

Handling is accuracy right? Or is it how fast a weapon will take to reach peak accuracy?

I've only focused on damage, tear, and elemental so far haven't upgraded handling on any weps yet

From what I can tell there's no aim assist in this game like a lot of console games have, I could be wrong but I don't feel it if it's there and I'm usually sensitive to that in console games. If it's not in the game it's probably due to the nature of how enemies weak points can be targeted individually/separately, and "sticky aim" would hurt that mechanic

There are skills you unlock that help boost aiming ability though

You need silent sprint. It's awesome running by machines with no way of them hearing you. Invest in triple and double shot. You can choose between shooting two or three arrows at a time. I'm level 28, and I completed 3 of the hunting lodges and boy do they sure dump a lot of XP at you when you finish those trials.
