I didn't expect anything less for an open world game of this caliber. As long as it's a steady 30fps, I have no problem with it.

4.5 hours in and I can tell that this is GOTY type material. This game just nails the little things. Can't figure out how use spoiler tags with my tablet but everyone will be happy with this purchase. I'm trying to find a negative with this game and I'm failing miserably.

The lighting in this game is one of the best I've seen in a game. 4K tv owners will salivate. Graphics don't get better than this.

To me this game is a combination of TW3, ME, FC Primal, UC series, TLOU S and RDR all mixed in. Best way for me to sum up my thoughts.

If I can figure out how to use the spoiler tags I will go into more detail.

Game has been buttery smooth. Impressed that with all its graphical beauty i was expecting some slowdown here and there but none has occurred yet. Even when in the heat of battle or running for my life this game is very smooth. Also was surprised that the Pro stays pretty quiet as well. Now 2K17 on the other hand is a different story.

Currently playing on normal and I'm seriously thinking about bumping it up to hard. Don't get me wrong I had my deaths a plenty but at times I'm wrecking a couple of the beast. And mind you 5.5 hours in and I've only ran into 3 different beast. And all 3 came with different characteristics. Some charged at me, some just kinda kept an eye on me and another just chased me down and beat me to death. Some will shoot lasers at you, another might just trample you and won't let up if you can't get away. 

Had a scene where I took down one beast and when I went to get the loot, another beast was taking it. WTF moment for me lol

Crafting on the wheel is pretty cool. Upgrades I'm still figuring out so I'll report back on that a little later.

Off work in a few hours and will be off until Wednesday so I will be able to get a huge chunk of playing time in. I don't think my impressions will change much. Some say a honeymoon period but for me to play a game over 5 hours in 1 day and can't wait to get back for more says a lot for me when it comes to me liking a game.

A few more things I noticed that I thought was pretty cool.

Sky and clouds look unbelievably real.
Killed a rather large bird upstream several hundred yards maybe and I left on a short journey inland and when I came back maybe 7-10 minutes later the dead birds body had floated downstream and came to a rest up against a rock with my arrow still in it. Was pretty surprised to see that. 

Some of the animals are just pure beast. Sometimes almost human-like in their behavior when hunting you down. They can become relentless

88% on metacritic after 68 reviews so far. Very impressive. I've read it's more fun to battle the machines than humans but overall this is a game that will take about 30 hours and more if you want to collect everything. I did read it's easy to miss some great side quests if you just look at the map and don't explore (via Forbes).

One reviewer posted on neogaf that he had 96% completion in 58 hours of gameplay. Game is definitely going to take a few weeks to complete. LOL.

Glade to see this game getting great reviews but I am not surprised at all. From the first time this game was shown it looked great and the more I have seen the better it looks. I was predicting a 90 Metacritic score and right now the game is at a 88. So it looks like I may be a little off but 88 is still really good. I just wish it didn't come out so close to Zelda.
