What about when The Show 17 comes out? Wonder if this will push the Pro as well.

That brings up a good point if those finding it loud are digital?

I'm sure it will. I really wish the console released the heat through the top or sides. The fact that the heat spits out the back just doesn't work well when you have a built in unit like I do.

Should be up high on your map on the left hand side. Hope that helps. I can't give you a better answer since I'm at work. You can fast travel to a camp fire right near it.

Thanks for the reply. That was around where I was looking last night. I'll take a better look next time I boot up the game.

I can hear my Pro if I'm within a few feet of it, but it's by no means "loud". Menu frame rate is clearly uncapped, so maybe that's attributing to the fan spinning up more.

After seeing others mention it, I decided to try performance mode and it's a little quieter. Also, I actually prefer how it looks versus the resolution mode on a 1080p display and it feels like there's slightly less controller latency. Super-sampling helps clear up some shimmering on distant objects, but I was expecting more from it. The DOF in the resolution mode occasionally can cause some weird aliasing around character models (most noticeable around arms, hands, and fingers) and I can see some artifacts from the checkerboard rendering, particularly with hair in cutscenes. Comparatively, I started Titanfall 2 and that game provides the noticeably sharper and cleaner image I was expecting from super-sampling/down-sampling.

Anyways, I'm really enjoying this. For me it's the world that's the star. It's just fascinating and mysterious, and damn if it isn't very pretty.

South West part of the map has the long trail that dead ends by scrappers. Take the split off that trail that heads north and switch backs up the mountain.

Just so I can clear this up, my loud PS4 Pro fan comes from the digital version I downloaded. I dont have the disk so I don't know if it gets loud with it.

All I know is this game gets loud at times and it's the only game I have ever played on my pro that does this. Crazy.

I've read a few reports saying that performance mode for 1080p displays is actually the way to go for image quality and FPS. I will have to try it tonight.

Really loving all the screens people are getting from this beauty. It is a photo mode enthusiasts dream.

For anyone playing on very hard, how is your experience so far?

About 9 hours in and I have only died once on Hard. I am thinking of bumping it up to very hard. Thanks for your any input!

I have the digital version and have not noticed any noise from my PS4 Pro at all. Playing on Resolution Mode FWIW.
