Where is the best place to find sawtooth? I know I've fought them already, I just don't see sawtooth signs on my map. I'm pretty sure I have defeated every type of enemy, I just need a sawtooth heart and can't find one.

Jus wondering if anyone has run into any crazy glitches for this game yet?

Looking back I'm sure it looked like a Scooby Doo routine.

Is the only way to craft new ammo/bomb/trap types to buy them from a Merchant first?
I was always able to craft them in my crafting menu as soon as I bought the weapon. Sorry if this is isn't helpful, I don't think you have to buy them first

I also did a couple of the Hunters Lodge trials last night. I need to return to the 10 Canisters in 90 Seconds one once I level up my bow skills, but I managed to get Gold on the Logpile on the first try.

Man, this game has really opened up a lot since leaving the Embrace. So much to do now. I keep criss-crossing the map.
Those tutorial quests have to be the active quests for progress to be made on them.

And to your canister question, sometimes they are shielded with metal. The plate can be knocked off with regular arrows. If you scan the beast with the focus, canisters and other critical hit areas will glow yellow for some time allowing you to target them easier.

I might not be being very helpful, at work/lunch now and can't pull up my map, but you should be able to find some pretty easily depending on what area you're in. What part are you in?

Only glitch I've seen was one time some textures were randomly floating in a field. Thats it. Impressive for such a massive game

Hardpoint and Tearaway arrows will knock off the metal shields faster right? Or am I misunderstanding their functions?

I have only one tall neck I haven't climbed yet, so I have most of the map unlocked but I'm in the Meridian part. What type of animal is it? Or what are they classified as? I feel like I have been to every icon that I think it could be and can't find one.

Also has anyone found a use for a Rockbreaker or Behemoth heart yet? Or should I just sell.

You're right, hard points for one component, tearaway will blast multiple pieces off.

Yeah, sometimes the highlighted parts confuse me because I can see them, but they're hidden under metal or another body part.

I guess I need to buy more weapons tonight. I'm still on the freebie Tripcaster.

I've gotten stuck twice. Once I sorta morphed into the side of a rock.

Use those teraway arrows. They don't do damage but they shred armor right off the backs of machines. You can then use some of the weapons that came off from your shot against your enemies, if your quick enough that is. It comes in handy for some of the later hunting trials and bigger machines in general.
