Yes, I do and no, it isn't. It's only me here that uses it so no point in leaving it on when im not home or off-line playing games. Today was a very rare exception because of the patch which was around 12GB or so. For those who purchased the game digitally, the patch was already in the base game download.
Oh well yeah man. That's 12 gigs. It's gonna take a bit.Comment

Gears of War 4 (X1)
Is it me or do the coins pile up really slow? I just played tdm went like 7-2 and got 20 coins. I was actually really impressed I went 7-2 haha. And getting pretty much no coins was kind of depressing. Honestly is sort of a turn off which is a shame cause this is my favorite game. Them micro transactions though. Sad that gears has gone this route.
I think I was getting as many coins playing coop vs mode on a team against bots.Last edited by ricky24; 10-12-2016, 10:15 PM.Comment

Re: Gears of War 4 (X1)
Playing campaign just started Act 4. So far the campaign is pretty boring, one of the most boring repetitive games I've played in a long time and I dont mind repetitive as long as their is a variety of repetitive things to do, this game is just shoot, go through some doors, and shoot again, its like the campaign is just training for the online modes. As far as the graphics they are really good but I expected better for a Gears of War game on new hardware consoles, GoW set the standard in graphics last gen, they failed to do so this gen. This game looks no better than the best looking games that are already out ie Tomb Raider, Ryse, Uncharted, ect.
This game is very linear, I don't mind linear games but my gosh this game is super linear, the part where you're on the motorcycle shooting down the plane, that part reminded me of a motorcycle game from the early 90's where the only thing that moved was the road you all you have to do was move right and left. The devs didn't really try to change too much, I think with the new console hardware and the new characters in the game they should have tried to add more different things to the game.Xbox Series X: KILLMUNGERComment

Re: Gears of War 4 (X1)
I just had the most frustrating experience in Horde mode. Man. We got to lvl 30 easily but there was one engy who refused to be a team player to the point where I think he was trolling. He would constantly re-position anything we tried to move and put those things in terrible spots that weren't helping us
Like sometimes he would legit just be holding a sentry and spinning around a circleLast edited by The JareBear; 10-13-2016, 05:42 AM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Gears of War 4 (X1)
Best campaign I've played this gen. He's entitled to his opinion though. I don't at all agree but hey, that's ok. I find it refreshing to have something linear and story driven to play for a change vs. devs trying to make everything open world these days. Open world/non-linear wouldn't fit the summer blockbuster feel that Gears goes for.
Again, my opinion, but I think this was probably the best campaign in the series.Comment

Re: Gears of War 4 (X1)
I'm glad he posted his take, always good to get multiple views
I'm looking forward to diving back into the campaign tonight, need a break from Random Group Horde Weirdness
Gears is gears just like Uncharted is Uncharted. The campaign feels familiar in the best way possible for me
Play Anywhere is such a win. Game is silky sm smooth
I don't really care about open world vs linear or single vs multi player, a game is either good for me or it isntLast edited by The JareBear; 10-13-2016, 01:08 PM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Gears of War 4 (X1)
Played last night and stopped at the beginning of ACT II. This is the first Gears of War that im actually able to play. Thankfully, the motion isn't bothering me at all. I do wish the camera wouldn't move when running. Other than that, my only complaint thus far is in regards to picking up / swapping weapons that enemies drop. I'm used to a little pop-up on screen that tells you the gun you're taking and leaving behind. Other than that, no actual complaints.
Very much enjoying the campaign. Story and characters seem solid thus far. Game looks amazing and the storms have surpassed Mad Max for me which is saying something.Comment
