Yes, core and competitive doesn't bot fill or let others join mid match.

They need to keep it that way for competitive as that'll likely be five man teams, but core needs mid match and rotating lobbies bad.

What pack do you usually buy? Or do you switch it up? I was just buying horde packs but now that I'm getting into vs. a bit I'm wondering if I should just strictly buy the operations pack. It looks like elite is just customization. Is it not even worth it?

Yeah I usually stick to operation packs since it gives a mixture of bounties, class skills and a customization card.

Elite packs are the way to go for other characters , skins and emblems(hate it btw). I miss the good old gears day of getting certain characters by leveling up or receiving a special weapon skin as a reward for things you did in game etc

If you want to level up in MP faster hit versus booster packs for bounties, horde booster packs to progress faster there.

I just don't think this series is for you. The things you want are things that would make this cease to be a Gears game. Thinking comes from the combat (especially at higher difficulties). The rest of the game is there to pull us through the world and story. It's beauty is in its simplicity. I get what you're asking for, but that's not this series. There are definitely options out there that will give you want you want (I'm a huge Uncharted and TR fan), but IMO there is also only one franchise that gives us the feel of Gears, and that's Gears.

Im playing on Hardcore and it seems kinda easy to me. I mean I have not played Gears since GoW 2, I find it surprising Hardcore seems kinda easy this is coming from a guy that usually plays games on normal difficulty. Dont get my wrong I dont dislike the game, im just stating how I feel. Once I beat the campaign im gonna get started on Horde mode.

A couple of questions, is there a way to quickly turn the opposite direction in this game?

While sprinting, is their a way to make sharper turns? They take these slow wide turns while sprinting.

The difference between Uncharted and Gears is that in Uncharted their more things to do that breaks up the monotony, more variety game play. As I said in another post, I dont mind repetitive gameplay as long is their a variety of repetitive things to do which is not the case in in GoW.

I wasn't comparing the two games, I was saying that you know what to expect in an Uncharted game just like you know what to expect in Gears.

For your first question hold down on the left stick while holding A. To your second question, no not that I know of but wouldn't expect it with all the heavy armor on.

Just finished the campaign solo insane. All I can say is ****ing mind blown. The insane amount of deaths and slow pace was worth it with that big shocker at the end.

This is easily one of the best games I've played this gen bravo to Rod and The Coalition 👏👏👏

Does the campaign pick up after Act 1? Based on the cinematic I would think so, I really enjoyed the prolog but act one seemed kind of stale to me

Finally got some time in with story last night, and man I love this game, so intense I just love everything about this game, BF1 kinda took the time away. Man cant wait to play more later tonight.

It picks up Act 2 after you gear up, enjoy the ride it's a great one.

Currently at the end of ACT III.

Thus far, im completely enjoying Gears of War 4 more than Uncharted 4. Granted, this is the first Gears of War game that im playing but still, it's been a lot more satisfying than Uncharted 4 where it was horrible paced and in some ways, a disappointment. I have a few minor complaints with Gears but the main one is the "A" button being used for cover and evade. Crap has killed me a few times. I checked the controller configurations to where evade was the "B" button but then something else was messed up so I just said, screw it, I'll stick with default.

The gunplay and mechanics are satisfying. The visuals are arguably the best this generation and the weather effects are in fact, the best this generation. Music, sound and voice acting are all excellent. Story and characters are all good thus far.

Aside from my complaint listed above, not seeing the guns/weapons that you're picking up/swapping from enemies is annoying as so many times, I keep swapping guns thinking that im going to get ammo but instead, I end up swapping my machine guns.

Other than those two complaints, the only other negative is that the game appears to be short. Playing on hardcore, I have played a total of 7 hours. The Order: 1886 took me just over 14 hours. This looks to be shorter but the quality is obviously a lot higher.

Uncharted 4 was my default game of the year (and disappointment if that makes sense) but depending on how the rest of the game plays out and story unfolds, it will most likely be surpassed.

Will definitely finish Gears sometime this weekend.
