Re: Nier: Automata (PS4/PC)
Downloaded the demo and played through it in about an hour.
Not at all what I was expecting. I thought it was some kind of open world RPG?
But wow, was I pleasantry surprised. Crazy genre clash, and super unique. I had a blast jamming through the demo. I don't see myself picking up the full game right away, but i'll probably pick it up once it's a little cheaper.PSN: Lord__Hazanko

Re: Nier: Automata (PS4/PC)
The story in this game is very under-rated IMO. Full of surprises, very well done, on top of the awesome action.
Also, I think this game launches on Steam for PC gamers tonightLast edited by The JareBear; 03-16-2017, 10:58 PM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Nier: Automata (PS4/PC)
They did. Basically, a 9/10. Gameplay looks good for the most part. The three things that turned me off were 1) The multiple endings. Brandon says that you need to get the third ending and thus play through the game multiple times to get it because the first two are similar and not really worth it. I'm not playing through the game three times to get one good ending that matters. Hell, I wouldn't even do this twice let alone three times. 2) Characters that you play as outside of the woman in the demo doesn't really grab me based on the review especially the male character. 3) While the gameplay looks good, it seems to be more 3D than 2D. I loved the demo and was expecting more of that but from what I have read and that review, it seems to be less 2D and more 3D. The different gameplay elements are good but was really hoping for the majority of the game to be like the demo. That's pretty much it. I'm waiting to receive For Honor so maybe, I'll mess around with it but with me working three days this week, I'll probably just take a week break from games and wait to play For Honor.Comment

Re: Nier: Automata (PS4/PC)
Gotcha. I was genuinely curious, wasn't trying to be pushy or anything. I think I'm a little defensive of this game because I really think it's great and just a a very well made product but it doesn't stand a chance against the current AAA release lineup it's competing against
I definitely get it though. Game just came out at a tough/crowded time. Hopefully if it gets a nice sale people will give it a look"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."
