PS2 Iternal Clock Problems

For some reason my PS2s internal clock does not hold time, every time i turn it on it says 1/1/2000 12:00:00 for some reason, anyone know what I can do to fix this?

there should be a watch batter(a little bigger but same shape). Search the web to see if you can find a replacement.

Your playstation must be an original 1... They should last a good amount of time. This is one thing the xbox should have had.

I searched everything i knew to search online and found nothing about how to replace the battery or what type of battery is used, should i just open it up and see for myself?
