What's the most you've paid for a game?

Thinking about the price for the Pip-Boy edition of Fallout 4 ($120) got me to thinking about what I've spent on a video game in the past. As far as I know, the most I've spent on one game was $80 for Earthbound on SNES when it was first released. I also dropped $70 on Mortal Kombat 2. Just curious to know, what's the most you guys have ever paid for one game?

I don't remember the exact amount, put I remember paying over $100 to import Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 on N64.

About $125 for Arkham Knight. I bought the game, collector's edition strategy guide and season pass.

I remember showing up to the store on release date (SNES), and the guy told me that the shipment was delayed for a few days. At that moment, I would have gladly spent $100... of my parents money. Granted I was only like 10 yrs old. And had I known that the 32X was the best arcade port to ever release on the home consoles, I probably would have bought that along with the required Genesis. The amount of hype that game received was incredible.

But to answer the OP, I'd consider my purchase of MGS 4 the most I've ever spent, considering I had to get a PS3 with it as well.

$250 for the Steel Battalion game and controller for the Xbox. Still have it as a matter of fact. Fired it all up just a couple of weeks ago.

When I see what Earthbound goes for on eBay, now, it makes me cringe. Wish I still had it. Then, I could consider that $80 an INVESTMENT.

$59.99 plus tax.

Edit: If we count DLC, then I have paid more than that. I bought the season pass, after release, for Bioshock Infinite and Injustice.

Back in the early 90's Sega tried to bust past the $60 threshold. I remember paying 69.99 for the sega baseball game.

I also bought a computer just so I could play Empire Total War. So I built a high end machine for about $1300 dollars. Wasn't that bad though, I knew it was coming so I just $25 per week away just for that purpose. Played well over 1,000hours of Empire and Napoleon over the last 5 years. For about $1/hour that's pretty cheap entertainment plus I use that computer for other things as well, but I wouldn't have put together a high end gaming system if not Empire Total War. I was always fascinated by horse and musket and when I saw that game in all its glory, there was no way I wasn't going to have it.

That's why I say I'm serious if someone can come up with a perfect football or boxing game. Charge me $500 for it, I don't care, I know I'll get my money's worth.

is was going to say I've never paid more $60 but then I started thinking about DLC. I think I paid at least $35 for all the Mass Effect 3 DLC. Never bought any kind of collectors edition while they were at full price.

Between the expansion, original purchase, and monthly fees I spent hundreds and hundreds on city of heroes

I've probably spent over $250 on Hearthstone. About to spend more when the new expansion of cards comes out next month.
