There's a xbox demo on the 4th disc in the Star Wars Trilogy released yesterday...It does remind me of BF 1942 with star wars as the theme...only played one game of the demo though, so don't really have many impressions

Yep...
Demo was pretty cool. Does anyone know if there is co-op or is it vs only?
It does have split screen and system link I believe.

I'll prolly get the game even if I won't be playing online

You won't be disappointed. I'm playing this stricly on single player (no live) and I am obsessed with it. I couldn't put the controller down. I gave the wife some $ to go shopping and played all night. I realize that it has only been one day, but it will always be fun to come home after work and blow away some ewoks! It is pure, mindless fun.

Picked up my copy today at lunch. Man, the line was LOOOONG.

Guess lots of people are Star Wars geeks deep down. Not me, I just picked it up b/c it was spur of the moment decision. I'm happy, tho!

Yeah I wonder the same thing as you. This is the first non sport game I buy since... since a long freaking time

I bought it because when me and my bro saw the commercial we were like "woah"

Its not the SW elements to the game that made me buy this... more the battlefield free for all, with vehicules and many weapoons element that sold me the game...

So I can still claim my non-SW-geekness

I couldnt wait until this game came out. I go yesterday. And I have'nt been disapointed. I had a whole lot of fun playing this game last night. Can't wait to get home and sink my teeth into it again tonite. For those of you who haven't gotten it yet. Give it a try. I believe your going to enjoy it.

p.s. Remember this is not Socom. I play with some Socom people, who refuse to except that.

WOW!

This game is an absolute BLAST! I have to admit though, it's a bit underwhelming initially... felt like a cheesy quickly made game... but the more you get into it, the better it is... Historical campaign is great, as it follows the movies well.

Overall, I'd give this game an 8/10. I think, that after a while, it just won't have the legs to maintain long playing... It's really a great game, and a must for SW fans and Socom style game fans...

And just so you know, you can't use Jedi's... that would have been the icing...

Highly recommended!
