I just picked this game up today, and it is sick,it is alot of fun, and I don't think it's just because I'm a history major, and the graphics are really good, I would say it's a must buy.

Wow I didn't even know it was out. I am still playing Medieval Total War...probably my favorite PC game of all time.
Sadly I don't think my system can support Rome...maybe next year.- The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.Comment

It is similar to Civ 3 as far as empire building but the battles are way better. Instead of resolving it on the campaign map it zooms you into the battlefield so you can control individual units, etc. This gives you the option to fight what can be epic battles. Think Braveheart / Gladiator type stuff.Originally posted by conboy31
