    PS2 components ... help!

So I just got the component cables because I heard how good they are. I got the "Monster Cable GameLink 400 Component-Video Cable for PlayStation 2".

This is a really dumb question ... I plug in the 3 video outlets ... great ... where do I get audio from?

Do I have to use the USB ports in front? To what do I hook up audio? What kind of cable do I need? Too much work, I assumed the cables would come with some audio on them. My fault.

Thanks for your help in advance.

I believe you will need to use a digital optical cable to get sound now. The hookup is right beside the ac hookup.
