Played my first few games. I was Jason once, only managed to kill 2 of 6 counselors. Have to get used to the controls and abilities, for sure. One thing I really struggled with was bashing through doors. Are they bugged? Some doors would break in three hits. Most of the time, the door doesn't even take damage.

Anyone have any tips on either side? As a counselor, I'm not really sure what the best strategy is. I had a bit of success hiding, but I have no idea if you can successfully hide for the entire match and eventually win. I'm also not sure how the breath holding works. Do you disappear from sight while holding your breath? As in Jason can no longer "sense" you? And once you let go, you immediately get sensed again?

Here are a few tips I posted a week ago


1. If you don't want to get killed early stay away from all objectives. Meaning if you're next to the car, or in a cabin that's next to the car, run away. Or if you're in the house that has the fuse box (you will see the symbol when your near it in the house) get out and RUN AWAY! <br />

2. Unless your A.J., DEBORAH, JENNY, or Maybe Mitch to a lesser extent with a perk or two, don't try and hide. It's pointless. Jason will sense you most of the time. <br />

On The flip side if your Jason and your having trouble finding people. Knock out the power Box in the area your in (when you look on your map it's the little thunder sign next to the cabin). Then use your sense (R1+X) and people and/or cabins will light up to show u where they are. <br />
<br />
3. Jog, DO NOT RUN! Whenever you run it's easier for Jason to see where you are because you make bigger bubbles on the map. Just pushing the left stick forward let's you jog.<br />

If your playing with Bugsy or Vanessa, disregard this message. Because their stealth is so poor it doesn't matter what you do. lol

When using part 4 or part 8 Jason unlocked doors take two hits to break. Locked doors take 3. for every other Jason unlock doors take 2 or 3 hits and lock doors Take Five. And if your in rage mode, (you'll know because the Jason mask in the upper left corner of the screen will be red) you will break through wall or door instantly by pressing X (or A on Xbox)

Holding your breath will prevent your character for making any noise while Jason is in the house / cabin with you. Once you start breathing again he will hear you. If your fear isn't too high and you weren't making any noise before you got into the hiding spot then you don't need to hold your breath once he comes around.

Jason can only sense if your in the house or not. He doesn't know which bed or hiding spot you're in. And he has to step outside the house to do it. He can't do it while he is inside. So if he comes back in the house just get out when u can and make a run for it.

Thanks for all the tips! Played a few more games without much success. I was doing well the one game, but of course I got ran over by fellow counselors driving recklessly. I didn't realize they were going to hit me, at first. Guess I know now to stay away from drivers. Another group of counselors drove away without me ... thanks, jerks!

I made the mistake of trying to hide under a bed with Kenny and got speared to death. Whoops.

I'm having real trouble finding the fuses for the cabin to call the police. Maybe it's just bad luck, I'm not sure.

No problem.

Yeah there are a lot of idiots playing this game that just like to run people over for the hell of it so always be aware. If they're honking their horn for you to get in and the car is already full, don't do it they're just going to try to run you over. If you're in the lobby where people are constantly doing that just stay in a cabin anytime the car is around you.

As for the fuse, first you have to be lucky enough to spawn near the fuse box. And if you are near one just know that the fuse is always near the fuse box. So if the fuse box is on one side of the map just know the fuse won't be on the other side unless you're playing the Jarvis map.

I'll break down the Crystal Lake map for you real quick or anyone who has trouble finding the fuse



Map A= as you can see the phone house is in Burch Ridge. That means the fuse will either be in one of those cabins in Burch Ridge or the bottom right cabin in Camp hillbrook.

Map B= when it's the Tool shed, it will either be in the cabin right above it, The Boathouse right above that, the bathrooms, or the cabin on the left in Springwater Camp which on this map you can see has the power box right next to it.

Map C= the fuse will either be right there in one of those cabins in Springwater Camp, the bathrooms, or that cabin with the power box to the left of the words Burch Ridge. There's also a small chance you will find it in the tool shed

Map D= bottom right cabin in Camp Hillbrook. When the fuse box is here, you will either find the fuse right there in Camp hillbrook including that cabin by itself in the top middle of the map, or the cabin on the right in spring water, in the Bathrooms, or the cabin in Burch Ridge that sometimes holds the fuse box (the one in Map A. It's the only big cabin in Burch Ridge)

Oh and sometimes the fuse is right inside the cabin where the fuse box is so if you spawn there check it thoroughly. So if you don't find it in a drawer in any of the cabins I mentioned that means someone has it and has run off with it. If someone dies with it it'll show up on the map now

Hope this helps you guys who don't really know. I can break down the other big Maps if you want at a later date

From what I last read offline bots is the single player with "Challenges" mixed in there.

So if your expecting a story or something like I was you will be disappointed. Hopefully someone else can confirm.

Actually, "Offline bots" will be the same as the online game except you are always Jason and the counselors are AI.

Challenges will be "missions" ala Hitman. Again, you will be Jason. The missions will, supposedly, be from the movies.

It is correct to say that there is no story mode coming.

The Content Guide Roadmap has been updated and some things have been moved around.

If I had to guess, the map before Winter will be Camp Forest Green from part 6 (with any outside chance of a part 5 map), the new Jason by the new game mode (Paranoia) will be Roy from part 5 and the new clothing/Jason/map at the end will all be from Jason X.

The new counselors are anyone's guess. But if they're from the films I'd guess we could see Shelly from part 3, Tina from Part 7 (the actors have expressed interest in being in the game) or Mark from part 2.

Mark, like Fox, may be tricky because the actor is dead but I put him on the list because, during the Kickstarter, a counselor in a wheelchair was a stretch goal.

Soon, the level cap will increase from 101 to 150 making room for more unlockable content.

I know this game had some bumps in the road but I love it. So much fun to just jump in and play for hours or just a quick match or two. I'm glad they are still supporting/developing things for it as well so it stays fresh.
