I like Fable. I think its a really good game. I'm glad its selling well. That means that there will probably be a sequel and they can make it up to all of you who are disappointed with it(I mean that seriously- no facetiousness intended)
With that being said I'm getting a buzz inside thats telling me that Jade Empire is going to be way better than Fable, better than Halo 2, even better than KOTOR, we'll see about KOTOR 2. I have nothing to support my hunch, just a feeling. I'm worried however that we have another Beyond Good and Evil and Prince of Persia situation here.
I'm concerned that the Chinese Mythology theme will be a turn off to many potential buyers. I hope I'm wrong about the mindset of the market, because if it fails economically, then companies may be less likely to take risks and instead keep rehashing old themes.
As much as I love the FF games we need less games like that, and more games like Deus EX.
