Re: Buying a NES Console...What Games to Get??
Am I the only person who played Baseball Simulator 1.000?
This game was great! You had all of these special skills you could use at bat and while in the field. Skills such as the "Earthquake Hit", where when you hit the ball and it hits the ground, the entire stadium shakes for a few seconds, allowing your base runner to round the bases while the fielders are stuck.
Also, let's not forget about the "Rocket Hit". Hit a line drive and I DARE you to try to catch it. The ball would carry the fielder with it all the way to the outfield wall.
You could also edit the player names of your team in this game. Me being an A's fan, I had Rickey Henderson leading off, with McGwire and Canseco as my 3 and 4 hitters. Rickey actually led the league in HR's. I gave him max speed and used the "Earthquake Hit" to bunt. By the time the 3rd baseman got to the ball, Rickey had already rounded the bases, crossing home for an inside the park HR.
Man, that game was fun....Comment

oh hell yeah, that was an insanely awesome game. The sequel on the SNES sucked though.
Man I miss the days when games were cheap to make. Games like these are never around anymore.Comment
