Well my Xbox Kollectors Edition came in today finally. I haven't really spent much time with Deception yet, as I was playing the original MK for a while. It's as great as ever in my opinion. Brings me back to when I use to play the game in the arcade. Thank god Arcade Treasures 2 comes out next week so I can pick up the MK2 and MK3 ports.
Anywho, there are a few glitches in the MK port. One stage doesn't have music, and here and there the music may skip on the Pit stage, but other than that, it's well worth the extra cash. It came in a nice slip cover with Scorpion on the cover, some metal card thing, and the bonus disk.
I've been playing the demo of Area 51 on the Deception disk for a while too. I have to say, this game is fun, and it may be a sleeper once it's released in 2005. The game probally won't be near Halo 2 or Half-Life 2, but if the final version retains the fun of the demo, I may pick it up.
It gives you a real sense of panic when tons of the creatures start poring at you and your fellow soliders. The sound and graphics really give off that sense of chaos. The voice chatter is well done too.
Off to play some of the core Deception game.
