Hey guys and gals, looking for some suggestions on a game for my sons 10th bday we can play together. A fps that we can either play split screen online or with bots offline. He's 10 so COD doesn't work. I have a 360, PS3 and ps4. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

When I was his age my parents got me the old Star Wars Battlefront game. I'm not sure how similar the one that just came out is though. Worth looking into. -

I 2nd this recommendation.
This, Plants vs Zombies and Halo.
SW:BF and PvZ are good FPS for kids and where parents might not want all the gratuitous violence and blood - there is none.
Halo has blood, but it's green (or purple, can't remember) and I don't think there's any bad language.
But it's great for co-op. In fact, you can play the campaign mode while in co-op mode.
Destiny also isn't bad, but it's not co-op. You shoot aliens but I don't think there's any blood either.Comment

Yeah, PvZ Garden Warfare was going to be my suggestion, except that it's a third-person shooter and not FPS. It has co-op multiplayer splitscreen for sure.
The easy suggestion would be Splatoon if we were including Wii U.
The genre is a little short on non-ultraviolent games, by its nature.Comment

I believe there used to be a Nerf-gun FPS for the XB or PS2.
It was a great deal of fun and was completely innocent as all the weapons were nerf-guns.
I don't know why something like that isn't offered today.
I've got to believe there are other parents like us who don't want their young kids playing games like CoD.
Or at the very least, maybe include a 'no blood and death' option where when an enemy is shot, they dissolve or disappear.Comment
