Shout out to the homie Mikenoob, dude is one hell of a tank operator. Some fun matches last night for sure. Am super close to having Assault all unlocked and then I really wanna play support and try these guns I have heard great things about from Rez and Bolt.
I'm off work at 1pm PST today and hoping to have some great sessions today and thru the weekend.
As for the talk earlier about behemoths, at first I thought the behemoths were corny as hell but I guess at least it adds an extra layer to the conquest formula. It definitely wouldn't make sense (in my opinion of course) for the winning team to get it as that would basically just end the match right there. I had hoped that maybe there was a way to activate it, like an objective the team has to complete, kind of like how some things are activated in MOBAs (or at least in Paragon, only MOBA I play), but I can see how they made the design choice they did. Part of me thinks that getting wrecked is just a part of conquest that happens to everyone. In every BF game I have played there have been matches where my team got destroyed and spawn trapped, and I have also been on the team that dose the spawn trapping. Part of me feels like getting wrecked is just something you gotta deal with and get better from and the devs throwing in a "hold your hand" mechanic is a little weak, but I understand why it is there.
Honestly the pick-up items bother me more than the behemoths, and I also think it is kind of cheesy that you get so much more health on a horse. The range of that sword swipe is pretty insane, I have seen guys just mow down 7 dudes easily before getting taken out. I also don't like that you can just pick up a weapon and get some pretty insane headshot protection. I am cool with the body being armored but if they are gonna get that headshot protection then the turning view radius and turning speed while using those pickups should be greatly reduced in my opinion.
I admit that if I am gonna play conquest I need to let go of the "I just want "stick skillz" to matter" approach. Behemoths, vehicles, pick ups, its all part of the conquest package and its awesome. I play most of my games on foot with my class weapons but I get that a lot of people get a lot more out of the other options available in conquest, and there are modes like TDM for when I just want to shoot and be shot at regularly.
Are most people still sticking with conquest as their only/primary mode of play? Operations seems pretty cool
I get killed more by snipers than anyone else. I can't hate too much, I mean it's in the game and it isn't cheating. If a dude wants to go climb to the edge of a map and lay prone on the side of a mountain, cool, I guess good for them. Some people do PTFO with Marksmen rifles and they are awesome with those rifles, to those guys I tip my cap.
