Hey guys, I am pretty bad at this game. I have had it since almost launch and I have managed to get in about 8 hours of multiplayer bc I just really stink. I did uncover the fact my TV has a game mode, which should help matters a little bit. But I also think I may just be bad.

The question I am wondering is if I would have a better chance if I used my 4K TV? I know this game isn't enhanced for Xbox One X, but I do really struggle shooting down range, and having a 4K TV I think would have to help. I am also not worried about it being an unfair advantage bc we're talking about saving the game for me, and not me just upping my stats.

Any advice is appreciated.

I don't think a 4K TV will help.
I'd suggest playing some of the single player as practice if you haven't already.
I'm not the best at shooters either, that's why I like BF. I can get points on captures, healing and supply. I found the light machine gun the easiest for me to use.

Absolutely no difference what-so-ever. I still don't see enemies, and get killed even though I hit an enemy square in the chest, but they can still turn around, aim and shoot me dead. So stupid.

What exactly is it that's stupid, the game?

The only thing about this game that sucks right meow are Bombers, trip-wire bombs, and the SMG 08 being super OP.

The hit detection and gun mechanics are awesome. This is THE BEST all around console shooter available. The only time people seem to have those types of issues are when it's related to their latency in the server..

10-12 hours of online about. I am better when I don't run around like a moron. If I actually use appropriate weapons (ie pistols and close range guns in buildings) and move around the map appropriately I am much better. But I just lack the discipline. I just wanna run in and kill!!!!!!

I think you may need more time to play to get used to the gameplay.

I'm in the minority on this thread about Hardcore, but for me, it's the only way to play. Otherwise way too much bullet sponge.

You get that first shot or two, you get the kill. Way less deaths from people doing 180s and still getting the kill.

Not a be-all, end-all for someone just starting out, but a much more enjoyable experience IMO.

Not sure about PC, but on ps4 I have difficulty getting connected to a dlc map through quickmatch with enough players. I get put onto a server by myself or with one other player. The mixed maps quickmatch works fine, it's the dlc ones that haven't been working for me.

Unfortunately it's been that way on PC. There are a ton of servers just very few in NA.

Same thing happened with Hardline, which was a good game IMO. Just died out way too quickly.

Such a shame for a series that started on PC and was head and shoulders above every other shooter for so long.

Correct. This is also the first multi-player shooter I've played since MW2 I think. I just need to develop good habits. Back in the MW2 days it was run in and shoot.

I don't remember how the shooting was in mw2, though I played cod ww2 and the shooting was too fast and too easy compared to battlefield 1. The gameplay was too fast as well. Maybe it's a different pace for you.

What is this hardcore mode?

Hardcore is way too general nowadays. In the past it meant less HUD or even no HUD on top of either increased bullet damage or less health.

200% bullet damage is the sweet spot for me for this game. You get the drop, you get the kill. I don't need all the other stuff like HUD restrictions (can't see your ammo, no mini map etc and so on). But if it's the only way to play a 200% damage/hardcore server then so be it.

Haven't played in a while and it's only been on PC. Not sure which platform you're on so finding a "hardcore" game or even one with only 200% damage may be tough.

That said you should try it out. Yea you'll die quicker, legit, deaths, but you'll get kills quicker too.
