The Freedom Tower not being in Spider Man is due to Insomniac not having permission to implement it. Regular buildings, etc. doesn't require this but a major named building that's world known requires permission for it to be added into the game. This happens a lot actually in general when it comes to games.

I have no idea what Web Spider-Man is, but I'm not gonna be upset at all if Raimi's suit isn't in.

You dont like Raimi's Spiderman movies and suit? Marc Webb spiderman the go who directed amazing Spiderman 1-2 so I mean the suits from those 2 movies. The first amazing Spiderman suit sucked with the basketball texter and with the yellow eyes but amazing Spiderman 2 suit was great.

I think that's what happened with the Space Needle IIRC. You couldn't climb it outside of a certain mission.

I mean it was in all the trailers and gameplay videos. It was literally the very first thing we saw from Insomniac lol.

I've got no problem with Raimi's suit, I love it actually. Same with the suit from Amazing 2.

But there's like 25 different suits in the game. I won't be upset about a certain handful not making it.

Oh got you I am not saying that not having the Rami suits would be like a game breaker or any thing has the game looks better and better the more we see of it and with it not being a rushed job and being insomniac etc. Been playing a lot of ratchet and clank lately beat my 6th one still have 2 other ones I would like to beat so good. Just saying that with how many suits there are and how big those movies where I thought it would be like a sure thing that we would get them and it would be nice to get them.

If it looks like what you put, I can live with that for sure. It's just that it's such a beautiful building and I would definitely love to have it close to what it's actually like. Plus, I didn't know that there were "rights" to building designs outside of their names.

I'm going to nitpick for a second. At first I thought it was a camera thing but now that the trailer shows different shots I can confirm it.

Look at 0:34 and 0:37 of that trailer (maybe even more, but I stopped watching to post this). Before Spidey actually gets his websling off upon his descent, his angle changes and he starts to flatten out already. Basically like he's already swinging not only before his web grabs something, but even before his web even comes out of his hand.

I'm guessing it's due to the fact that they don't have an arc programmed for that steep angle of descent when swinging (or it had affected gameplay to the point that you always end up hitting the ground on that kind of swing so they thought better of it and just adjusted it), and if that's the case I understand... but I don't know why it's changing before the websling action.

It feels really unnatural watching it. I hope it feels better when playing it, but I don't really want much handholding for this one if possible.

I'll be honest, I don't see a single issue with the swinging. You're the second person I've seen mention the "flattening out" or whatever, and I honestly have no idea what you mean.

The swinging is beautiful, and nothing seems unnatural to me.

Basically the animation starts "swinging" before the web is cast or attaches to something.

Personally I think it's something you won't notice while playing. I didn't notice it while watching any of the videos before Blzer pointed it out. I'm guessing it's just how they programmed the animation and it's more obvious when transitioning from those trick poses.

At first I chalked it up to the game's camera triggering a lower panning angle the second you press the websling button, which may be a part of it... but what's also happening is that he redirects.

I'm guessing this either happens when you're low to the ground, when your angle of descent is too steep, or maybe a combination of both. It doesn't happen every time, but when it does it rears its ugly head, and this trailer now confirms it.

Anyway, if it's allowed to look beautiful for all the things it does well (which is nearly everything, and it certainly does look beautiful), it is also allowed to look ugly for all of the things that it doesn't do well. This is one of them, although they might have excusable gameplay reasons for it.
