Anytime a game offers Motion Blur, etc. I turn that crap off immediately.

First, I had 5 free points from the pre-order redeem code via Best Buy. Second, I love stacking up the points and do one massive upgrade because doing so tends to usually overpower you which I must admit I love which is why I always play on hard. Third, I usually look over the skills and see which ones I want the most and wait until I have the skill points that cover it all. The rest of the skills are the ones that im not as interested in.

Outside of not having a crouch button, I haven't really had any problems in terms of navigation and parkour. Enemy wise, I have died at least 20+ times easily due to the enemies that throw that stun grenade and the heavy set guys hitting me a few times in a row that completely almost kills me. Otherwise, it's just a numbers game.

I know there's skills that help with both of my problems so once I get the amount of points I need, I'll be able to upgrade. Also, I like doing all the "easy" stuff like Landmarks, Backpacks, etc. in games because it's easy XP which in turn, equals a few extra easy skill points.

I would like the code if you can confirm you have a second.

I mean play how you want to play obviously but you are dying 20+ times because you are not upgrading anything. By the time you do you will be 50 percent through the game. Better off enjoying the upgrades imo.

Yeah, I've been spending my points the second I level up and get them. It's made web swinging through the city a lot more fun with the upgrades I unlocked last night.

And even with some of the combat focused upgrades, I'm still not anywhere near overpowered. Those big brutes still kick my ***.

This game sounds awesome. I'm going to be good and hold off while I work on some backlog, but I'm severely tempted.

                  Just wrapped up the story.

Guys, I don't know if this will win Game of the Year, but it better be damn close.

As for me, might be the best game I've ever played. The story was engaging, the finale was just as good as any movie. The gameplay is challenging, but nowhere near in a bad way. The suits are all really cool, even the Insomniac originals. I'm definitely gonna play through a few more times.

Now to finish all the side stuff.

And the mid-credits scene definitely sets up a second title.

Not trying to hate, but I feel someone needs to keep it real for potential buyers.

This game is pretty decent, but game of the year talk is drinking the kool aid.

There is graphical glitches, some of the missions are among the most absurd I've seen in modern gaming. (Some of the r&d station missions, missions with characters besides spider-man.)

The combat, while fun, seems like button mashing at it finest. On the ground most combat attacks are all just using the square button.

I haven't noticed any glitches. I've enjoyed the missions I've played so far, but I'm not very far into it.

The combat is so much more than button mashing if you know what you're doing. I'm on the hardest level and I know I have to pay attention to counters, check my special bar, use my suit upgrades, and swing around/throw guys and bombs quite a bit. Maybe the combat is what you put into it, but there is a lot of depth to it if you want to get into it. It's the best combat I've played of any open world game in terms of fluidity, cinematics, and depth.

I played for a couple hours Thursday night, played for 13-14 hours yesterday, and and about 7 hours today, and I'm at 81% for the whole game.

I'd say the story is probably right around 20-22 hours.

Guys- I pre-ordered Spiderman and picked it up yesterday. I don't see a code for the iron spider suit inside the case or on the receipt. I got it from best buy..
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

I will say I had to restart the first Fisk hideout because a guy had something gotten inside an area I couldn't get to.

Other than that I'm loving the game. I'm surprised how engrossed I am in the story and love how they're handling the secondary characters so far.

Web slinging is the ace in the hole and when you get into a good zone it's awesome. I'm not sure if it's my own rust or the mechanics themselves, but some transitions aren't always smooth. I think the combat can be nuanced, but so far I think the combos themselves are lacking and timing is what adds the spice of variety.

I'm having a blast. A perfect amount of nostalgia to go along with the new wrinkles.

People disappear, objects morph into other items when thrown. Spider-man hangs up sometimes.

Compared to a combat system like GoW this one feels very limited, I've never played the Batman games to compare it to.

Throwing bombs around, using counters and what not all feels very basic.

It's fun and I like watching the fighting animations though. I don't play this game on hard because I like it somewhat based in comic book reality, and on hard Spider-Man is pretty much a wuss.
