Using them with the x button to point launch is a great way to traverse the city, especially when you can't swing.



Using those also makes stealth much more easier. It makes it super easy to perch on a street light or other location so you can use perch takedowns. 90% of my stealth kills start from a white reticule location.

Missed this post. I’ve been using the point launch to get around even quicker. It’s especially handy during some side missions/challenges.

The latch + launch boost is great. Being able to hit X again for another web-zip without losing altitude is also great.

Seriously, web-slinging around is awesome in this.

The only thing that I miss about Arkham versus this is Batman's ability to glide around the city using his batcap. I'm not sure if Spidey gets his web wings eventually, but I hope he does.

Well this sucks. End of a fairly long multiple wave enemy base and I can’t finish it because a Guy is stuck in this building.

The only thing that I miss about Arkham versus this is Batman's ability to glide around the city using his batcap. I'm not sure if Spidey gets his web wings eventually, but I hope he does.

I don't know if it's the only time they are mentioned but the wings do make an appearance. Sort of. I don't want to tell you where. It really isn't that dramatic though.

I ended up webbing the tip of his foot and punching it a few times. Eventually got him. Crisis averted.

Small detail but just shows how much detail is in the game. Anyone notice Peter's voice changes depending on if you're swinging or if you're stationary during his phone calls? It's dope that they cared enough to even record all those lines in a different voice just to give that sense of realism.

I've been paying much closer attention to this ever since you made this post. That is an awesome attention to detail. I love it when little stuff like this is thought of and done in games. It just increases the experience.

Just got my collectors edition of the game this morning but was at school all day so have not played yet. I am off tomorrow but most of my day I think is going to be like doing HW hope I can get time to play this tomorrow.

Bought the game yesterday. Was going to wait because I have a backlog of games, but the superhero in me could not resist any longer.

I have always been a big fan of Spiderman and the thought of being able to websling my way around New York was reason enough.

What can I say : the game looks amazing! Love the lighting, I simply love just sitting on top of a building and watching the city.
I’m old skool so only wearing the original spidey suit.

The combat is absolutely amazing. Only downside – for me – is that I’m turning 50 next year so I’m basically an old fart with deteriorating reflexes :P
I have died many times already just because sometimes it’s all a bit too quick for me. But I refuse to go below the amazing level.
Must say I’m getting a little bit better already. I didn’t use circle/evade enough in the beginning and that will surely get you killed.
Now that I do use it I’m already doing better.

So far I have done just a few missions and am right now focusing more on the towers, the backpacks and stopping crimes when going from one location to the next.

This game really brings out the kid in me again.
As said I’m almost 50. I have 2 kids of 14 and 16 yrs old. Yesterday my wife running a bit late so she asked me to start cooking as soon as I got home from work.
It didn’t turn out so well……..she came home and caught me playing Spiderman and not having done anything regarding dinner, you can imagine the nice conversation we had but It was something along the line of me not being a kid anymore. (says who?).

Anyway, loving the game and can’t wait to get back into it tonight.

One question : how do you make a selfie?
I have seen photo mode somewhere in the menu, but is there an easy/quick way to do it when in game?

It's quick and easy to do in photo mode. Just set camera to selfie and use left thumbstick to adjust angle.
