That is a good question, my man.
I have thought about it a lot today and I just don't know.
Rocket League kind of caught lightning in a bottle. That game was just such a polished product, and fresh experience, right off the jump. Most people, from the very first match they played, were hooked. I remember not being able to put the game down the first month.
This game seems very fun and very addictive, I am not sure it is quite up to snuff with the overall Rocket League package yet but I didn't know it was just two guys developing it. Knowing that, there is probably a lot of love behind this project and I am sure it will be developed wonderfully moving forward.
Comparing the two games might be a little unfair to Disc Jam. It seems like Rocket League may have had more resources leading it to be a little more fleshed out at launch. Also, its kind of like comparing soccer to air hockey....kinda....
Not sure any of this made sense.
TL-DR - It's early, maybe too early to tell, but Disc Jam seems to offer a very fun addicting experience you can jump right into, and has a lot of room to grow and improve. I couldn't get online at all with this game so I gave up on it.

Played about 10 games. All against same guy since it took so long to find that match. Just kept doing rematch. I believe I was 3-7 so definitely not good. The killer for me is when he used the throw that rides down the wall bouncing. Always got tricked trying to play angle and then the disc would just skip down the wall.
Either way in the 10 games I had a blast.

Just now playing this for the first time. Not sure how I feel about it. Too fast paced. Especially doubles matches. Definitely don't think this will be a Rocket League type game for me.

I find myself having fun with it in small doses, once in awhile. I don't find myself playing it for hours routinely, like I did with RL.

This game can be fun for a few hours at a time, but haven't video game companies figure out yet that you always need a damn leaderboard for anything that involves PvP. Im serious, this game needs a win and lose record badly. It would be so much better to have stats.
Overall though I had fun, but I suck so bad and it's hard for me to keep pace with that damn disc going so freaking fast and weird crazy angles. lol I'm too high for this crap!

I can see so much DLC being made for this game in a few months. Better arenas, stats, tons of DLC clothing/characters.
I wish i could have made my own character from the start and then go play online with him.Comment
