The Technomancer

The Technomancer looks like it could be fun. It's not getting a lot of buzz and comes out on Tuesday. I'm guessing big sales soon after. You fight on Mars, has companions, a lot of different weapons and styles, stealth, tons of levelling up, monsters and humans to fight. I will be keeping my eye on this game.

Somehow I never even heard of this game, and I track all RPG's like a bloodhound.

I played the last RPG by this developer, Bound by Flame on the 360, it was alright. You could see that if they had more resources, they had the potential to make a solid game.

I need a new console game right now to hold me over until Madden and Deus Ex drops. I'm going to get this, I'll let you guys know what I think.

This game flew under the radar and crept up on us fast! Seems like it could be a good game I just wish it wasn't a deep rpg which is seems to be. If it was a strait forward fighter with basic upgrades I would be buy it because I like the setting and combat style but it seems to be deeper that what I want right now.

This is the first review I found of it. The guy says, basically, its kind of a "B-List Witcher 3" style game

It is only 38 dollars on Steam right now, and cheaper on other sites...

Pros:
All interactives between NPCs are voice acted
The Crafting and Talent trees are deep and help flesh out your character
Karma system
Seamless switching between stances during combat

Cons:

Pacing is a bit slow at times
Mapping system could be better
Too many bugs in the finished build
The AI companions constantly get in the way during combat

This is of the PC version, he does talk about bugs/glitches/freezes he encountered during this playtime on PC, but those can be hofixed quick on PC at least

Yup. 67 on Metacritic. I sort of expected this but this doesn't deter me from eventually buying it. I just won't pay full retail price for it. I didn't like reading the main character has horrible voice acting. That hurts and RPG.

Having played through the tutorial and the first mission, I feel pretty safe in saying that for me the score will be in the middle of those two. The main characters voice is poor, especially for the appearance of the character that I made, but it's tolerable.

I'm feeling the movement, combat style options, and simplicity of crafting. I can also tell that I'm going to enjoy the story, it's not an epic narrative, but still good.

It's a solid second tier Action RPG.

If you've played Bound by Flame our Mars War Logs, (especially the latter) you'll have a good feel of what to expect. I think this game is Spiders' biggest and most ambitious game yet. It will still feel like a budget title in part but it looks like Spiders is slowly being given greater opportunity to create better quality games. Mars War Logs was really good for what they had to work with. The Technomancer is a better realization of that IP.
