This comes out on consoles this Tuesday. Looks interesting. PC version got great scores. Anyone here play it? I'm thinking about picking it up.

I have it on PC. To be honest I've only played a few hrs but it was certainly fun. It looks pretty deep but some things were confusing (When I first got it I don't remember a good tutorial explaining things like data retrieval etc..)
So I watched quill18 play it and learned a lot.

With my ADD I never stuck long enough to make it past a one stage toaster lol.. Need to get back into it.
I'll probably end up grabbing PS4 version also (Like I always do now) just because I've wandered off PC game path a bit.

So in a nut shell if you like space and a pretty deep game (physics based).. grab it.

He has a lot of other Kerbal videos, but note that some require mods and not sure what support looks like on consoles.

I've got about 600 hours in it. PC would be the way to go as the mods are amazing.

I've learned a lot from it too. Fun and educational! My favorite thing to do right now is build space stations.

I'm interested to hear people's experiences controlling the game. I would love to play this on the couch but I know the once I started playing with my flight stick the game felt like a whole new game. It'd be tough to go back to less control.

Plus when I am on the couch with my console I am looking to shut my brain off and just play. Some of the more advanced stuff in Kerbal requires some pretty good and quick math unless they really tweak the interface.

Kerbal is one of those games where I have a better time watching videos than actually trying to do this stuff myself, lol.

All I can do right now is launch rocket and return a bit later lol. Haven't even messed with deep space stuff yet. Hell I don't think I've unlocked the parts I'd need anyways. Of course there is a sandbox mode too.

All I ever did in Kerbal was build ridiculous rockets and blow them up, shoot guys into the sun, spacewalk re-entry, and such. Game was still fairly rough last time I played.

I love putting guys in orbit then trying to go get them and bring them back. I also liked the challenge of having to build a plane to go get guys after re-entry and they would end up way off course and I'd have to fly around the globe to bring them back. No Kerbal left behind.

That was an awesome flight. Your orbits were clean. I start adjusting mine tracking trajectory and they end up all over the place

Thanks. That's one of my complaints about the stock version of the game. It's tough to get a good orbit with the tools given. It took some tinkering and a lot of deleting nodes (stupid normal/anti-normal got in the way of the drag node location)

I used to have a precise node mod that I used. It came in hand for the interplanetary trips. This was my first 1.1.3 mission so I'm not sure if that mod is updated or not.

Only seen a few people say this but supposedly PS4 version frame rates are pretty bad at times. Will try an see if any more feedback is out there before I get PS4 version also.
