I'm glad that the NHL is popular enough to make this list let alone that it's that underdog ESPN Video Games. Good job guys!
    NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
    NFL - Buffalo Bills
    MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Besides NHL 2k5, the other 2 previous Sega Hockey games also sold really well. This is one area where Sega is killing EA in terms of quality of the game and sales.

Hockey sales in general have always been good. The sport translates really well into videogames. On the flip side I feel like Baseball doesn't translate well into videogames.

It's looking like this year a lot of people that have been fans of the EA series have switched over to Sega instead of buying just the EA game or both.

I guess the higher ups at EA saw this coming and canned Dave Warfield right before the game was released.

I'm grateful of competition. Hopefully Midway and Microsoft jumps back on board with their sport titles soon because the real winner ends up being the consumer.
