You don't wait to see a "movie" by renting it if it's that damn good. You see it in the "theater" ASAP. Well, b/c it's supposed to be THAT good.

My PS2 has been sitting collecting dust for the past few months since I bought an XBOX, waiting for the release of GTA and GT4. I got to play GTA for about a half hour last night and have decided that I can wait for the xbox version. The new additions to the game are great, but it just didn't give me that "I need this game!!!" feeling that GTA III gave me. Combine this with the loss of online play for GT4 and my PS2 will be carted up to Game Stop in the near future.

My PS2 has been sitting collecting dust for the past few months since I bought an XBOX, waiting for the release of GTA and GT4. I got to play GTA for about a half hour last night and have decided that I can wait for the xbox version. The new additions to the game are great, but it just didn't give me that "I need this game!!!" feeling that GTA III gave me. Combine this with the loss of online play for GT4 and my PS2 will be carted up to Game Stop in the near future.

It is the best game I have played this year without doubt. There are many many new additions that take the series to a new, higher level. I like:

-The story element is stronger and the characters are less cartoonish, IMHO.

-The addition of skills that upgrade RPG style

-You can own the same car for longer than 5 minutes before it gets destroyed.

- More everything, cars, guns, girlfriends, shops, clubs, malls, friends, etc.

The bottom line for me is that after playing it for 10 minutes I thought to myself. "Oh, this is what Fable was suppose to be like." Really the gameplay reminds me of Fable (or should it be the otehr way round?) except that it is superior in every way worth counting.

I think I share this mindset, but I'm still on the fence a little.

Like you, my PS2 has been collecting dust, and I've since lost or lent out my controllers and also my memory card. I have confirmed with a friend that he has the controller (but is it broken? probably), and I don't know where my memory card is.

Therefore, to buy the game, I would likely also need to spend money on a new memory card and also possibly a controller. And that is something I'm not going to do, especially of San Andreas is going to be ported to XBox eventually.

I played it today, and it's a great game, but the "Wow!" factor isn't there, and I think I will be content to play it with my friend when he stops by or I visit.

Ideally it is ported to XBox, because I will definitely buy it then.

sme here except my case is a bit more extreme. I was about to go out and buy one of the new slim PS2's and SA. If Halo 2 wasn't coming out week after next I would. I'll hold off for awhile. It'll be ported over eventually, I hope!
