I liked the first one, I just found the pace to be a little slow. I would be laying on the ground and then all of a sudden dead. After you are killed I wish they would show some sort of a death cam which shows who killed you.

That's the beauty of it!
You're crawling through a field, unaware that there's a sniper perched 300 yards away....then you're dead.

That's realism, not that strafe and crouch bull**** you see on R6 or other FPS.

My absolute, hands down FAVORITE aspect of this game is this....

One good shot and you're dead.

Yep, in multiplayer, USUALLY, all it takes is one shot to kill someone, especially if you get them in the head. A shot in the arm or leg will disable you, but it usually isn't long before the person shooting at you finishes the job. That, in my opinion, is what makes this game what it is.

Imagine this, Vinceanity...one of the game modes is called "Seige". It involves two teams, usually of 4-5 people each. One team is on offense, the other is on defense. The team on defense has an area of the map they must guard and protect. The objective is for one member of the offensive team to get inside this area for a period of five seconds.

Now, you may say, "Why not just have the defensive team huddled around inside this area popping caps in all who try to come inside?" Ah HAH!! The reason you DON'T do that is because you turn OFF respawns...so once you get shot, you die, and once you die, you're out of the game.

This, my friend, creates strategic, intense, military type game play. With these parameters, every person in the game tends to move a little slower, a little more carefully, and actually PLAN OUT attacks on the other side.

Siege without respawns is the ONLY way to play in my opinion...

Can someone describe this game for me? What makes it different from other FPS games. I never played the first one.
