Been a while since I've been on the boards but had to jump in to talk a bit RDR2.
IMO, Red Dead is the first game that actually feels like a next-gen game.
This is easily my fav game of all time.
I actually bought an XB1X just for this title and I have

As dorky as this sounds, I kind of wish I had started a little blog or journal of all the cool things I've witnessed and done myself.
Recently, I heard a guy pleading for his life so I mosey on over to see what's going on.
It was those mouth-breathing O'Driscall's at it again!
They had some poor soul tied up and were robbing him. Not on my watch.
A quick red dead and I turned their faces and groins to pudding.
I untie the guy and as he's thanking me he walks right into the campfire killing himself, lol.
The fire actually spread from him, to a dead O'Driscall and then to a third O'Driscall.
Awesome.
I've found so many hidden gems around the map. Seems like there's always something cool to discover. Like when I solved the case of a serial killer.
Or another time when I was given intel on a Home Robbery north of Van Horn.
Turns out that potential robbery turned into something even better.
I can't even tell you how many hours I've spent on the game (literally, I have no idea how to figure that out). But it's a lot and I have force myself to do missions. I just loving wandering the country side finding random occurrences, or robbing a bank or stage coach.
I love how there's that one town where even saying "hello" is an invitation to a brawl.
Best game ever. I've heard once you finish the game an entirely new and large part of the map unlocks. Can't wait to just do what I want and carve my own path.
This game will have maximum replay value. I have lost hours not even realizing it, just bumming around. I would have loved this game when I was younger and had a lot more free time.
Great job R*. Game of the year fo sho!
