Everyone should read this. I had no idea the scope of what a game like this takes to make.

A fantastic read. Gamers are lucky to have developers like Rockstar.

It also puts in perspective why sports games either fall behind or are buggy messes. The scope and resources that go into putting out a brilliant game are staggering. Annual releases don't stand a chance by comparison.

100 hour work weeks? Yikes. Working conditions within the video game industry sounds increasingly awful the more I read about it.

Yeah I’m pretty much not reading anything at this point. I appreciate the screen shots posted in here though.

I stopped paying attention to any media or articles about the game soon after the first trailer dropped.

Exactly what I was thinking. When you play something like gow or Witcher or spider Man and then you have to wait 2 months for patches to make madden 19 any good, you see what happens

I found this nice little primer for RDR2 that recaps the events of the original RDR as well as RD Revolver and the timelines. It's pretty interesting. I never played Revolver but the story seemed like it was good and I wouldn't mind finding out what happened to Red Harlow in RDR2. The years line up well enough. We'll see though.

Wow 60 hours for just the story. I’m sure with all the side quests, mini games, and hunting it should definitely add another 10 hours (or at least I hope it does)

I think 10 hours is not even close. In the article it said the scripts for the side missions and extra would make a stack close to 8 feet tall. So in my opinion that would lead to significantly more game play than 10 hours?

To be completely fair, they said the script for the story PLUS the scripts for all the side stuff and NPC voicework would be 8 feet tall.

Personally, with the way I play, I'm hoping for 2-300 hours a play thru. I am figuring at least 4 play thru's.

I am so psyched for this game. The first one always blew GTA out of the water for me and I've yet to experience the same feeling from an open world game, including the Witcher 3. Everything about RDR is masterful. I've only bought 1 PS4 game in the past 2 years, and this is about to be the next. My body is ready. My girlfriend is not.

60 hours sounds about right to me, honestly. I have so little time to play it will probably last me a year or more just for one play through.
