Since Friday I've bought Ghosts and The Division and after work I'm picking up Black Ops III and Advanced Warfare. Shooters are tons of fun and addictive. Ha

So from a review I'm watching, it seems like Titanfall is similar to The Division in that the purpose is to kill as much as possible to earn upgrades. True?

TF2 is nothing like The Division. TF2 is a fast paced FPS, while the division is 3rd person and you fight NPCs and depending on what area you are in in the game, other users. The division is a game of looting upgrades and other stuff while the upgrade system in TF2 is similar to COD in getting weapon attachments and skins. The two games are very, very different.Comment

The only thing in common between Titanfall 2 and The Division is the shooting of guns and weapons. Ends there.
Titanfall 2 is faster paced than Battlefield 1 but not even close to Doom in regards to the fast pace.
Titanfall 2 has gorgeous visuals, good music, sound and voice acting, a decent story and characters and excellent gameplay. The campaign is excellent and I would put Titanfall 2 ahead of wolfenstein: The New Order and The Old Blood, ahead of Doom (even though I still have three chapters left to play), ahead of COD: IW (played through three chapters and just picked it back up today so this could change but I doubt it) and tied with Battlefield 1 but for different reasons.
I took a chance on it and pre-ordered it at Best Buy mainly because im a GCU member and pre-ordering gave me a $10 reward certificate so I figured that I have nothing to lose. I was very happy I didn't pass on the game. It's a hidden or should I say buried gem?
Love the last few chapters because it just looks freaking awesome and you get a rush. There's also an awesome story and gameplay element halfway or so through the game that I won't mention since it would be a spoiler but man, is it damn good. The plat-forming is also good and better than I was hoping.
Personally, I would say that TitanFall 2 is worth $60. Not a fan of EA but the game is good and those idiots buried it just to try to kill COD (good luck with that EA) and because of all of that, I think that the purchase is warranted. If you can get it cheaper, even better.Comment

Looks like GameStop has Titanfall 2 preowned for $37.99. Started watching TheRadBrad's walk through and Wow! Might snag this on my way home tomorrow!

No, sir. The two games use guns. That's about the only similarity.
TF 2 is a fast-paced FPS. There's no crafting, character building, character interactions, loot drops. The maps are finite; it's not an open world at all. There are no RPG trappings whatsoever.
The Division is an RPG/shooter hybrid, with crafting, character building, character interactions, loot drops and an open world of Manhattan.
