Different Editions? You mean standard, deluxe and gold? If so, this is nothing different than what EA, Bethesda, Activision, Sony, Microsoft and countless others do. Don't know why this would bother you when every publisher does the same thing and have been doing this for at least two generations.

Re: 2017 Gaming Plans
The only must buy for me is Mass Effect Andromeda and RDR 2 if it makes it out in 2017 by some form of a miracle.
Otherwise, It will be game day decisions for Detroit, Wildlands, etc.
I'm trying to spend a little less this year and hold out for sales and work on completing my backlog of games.Comment

Re: 2017 Gaming Plans
So I think I am going to want to get a switch. There are so many good games out this year should be much better then last year and the only big game on the switch before like October is Zelda but I already have a wii u. I think I will just get Zelda on wii u and want to get a switch around October-November when Mario comes out.Comment

Reading my mind buddy. Those last two are must's for me. Nioh appeals to me, but I still gotta make it through DSIII and Bloodborne.Comment

Re: 2017 Gaming Plans
I never posted my actual plan for 2017...
To play all the games purchased in 2016, some being released back in 2014. Then, I'll let you guys tell me what 2017 games I need to buy based on your responses regarding the games in the various threads.

Re: 2017 Gaming Plans
Currently I'm playing The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past via the Wii's virtual console.
I just pre-ordered a handful of games:
Nioh
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Yooka Laylee
I also ordered Yakuza: Zero.
There's a bunch I want, but will probably wait for a price break or "day one impressions" such as:
Injustice 2
Persona 5
Kingdom Hearts HD
Ghost Recon: Wild Lands
Plus some "whenever they actually release:"
Red Dead Redemption 2
Crash Banidcoot N. Sane Trilogy
Yakuza: Kiwami
Yakuza 6
Go back through some older games:
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess
Tomb Raider Trilogy
Ratchet & Clank Future Trilogy
Not to mention sometime pick up the Switch and new Zelda, Mario, and Mario Kart 8.

Re: 2017 Gaming Plans
***UPDATED***
CURRENTLY PLAYING
- Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (up to the solar system map. curious to see how this stacks up against other 2016 first person shooters Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2 and Doom)
COMPLETED
- Mafia III (overall, a 9/10 and my new 2016 game of the year. amazing story and characters with an excellent soundtrack. good gameplay and visuals. can't wait for the expansions)
- Resident Evil VII: Biohazard (good 8/10 game with excellent visuals, good music, atmosphere and immersion. a step in the right direction but really hoping they go back to the third person perspective because while in general, the first person perspective is fine, during the boss battles, it's bad in my opinion)
BACKLOG (purchased, downloaded and installed)
- Assassin's Creed Chronicles India (haven't played)
- Assassin's Creed Chronicles Russia (haven't played)
- Axiom Verge (haven't played)
- Mercenary Kings (haven't played)
- Stories: The Path of Destinies (played through a few different paths months ago but accidently deleted my save and have to start over)
BACKLOG (disc owned and fully installed)
- Killzone: Shadow Fall (have only played the tutorial)
- Ratchet and Clank (haven't played it yet)
- Watch Dogs 2 (have only played the tutorial)
BACKLOG (gamefly)
- Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (currently playing)
BACKLOG (haven't purchased yet)
- I Am Setsuna (digital, waiting for the game to be on sale for $20 on PSN)
- Forza Horizon 3 / xbox one (digital, waiting for the game to be $30 on xbox live)
- Forza Horizon 3: Blizzard Mountain / xbox one (digital, waiting for the expansion pass to be on sale for $20)
- Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition / xbox one (digital, waiting for the game to be on sale for $10 on xbox live)
- Salt and Sanctuary (digital, waiting for the game to be on sale for $10 on PSN)
- Shadow of the Beast (digital, waiting for the game to be on sale for $10 on PSN)
FEBRUARY 14th
- For Honor (oh hell yeah!!! my number one most wanted and anticipated game of 2017 thus far. Vikings, Knights and Samurais you say??? Oh hell yeah!!!)
FEBRUARY 28th
- Horizon: Zero Dawn (my second most wanted and anticipated game of 2017 thus far. open world action rpg with dinomechs looks and sounds great to me. only negative is where the hell is my mini-map??? ugh. other than that, this could be an early game of the year contender for me)
MARCH 7th
- Nier: Automata (played the demo and actually enjoyed it which I wasn't expecting. camera and controls definitely need some work but at the same time, there's a lot of options for both the camera and controls. looking forward to the final version)
- Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands (my third most wanted and anticipated game of 2017 thus far. have watched gameplay videos and woohoo!!!, my Ubisoft formula is back which yes, makes me very happy because that's how I prefer my open world games)
APRIL 4th
- Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 (this is the 2017 version of what im hoping will be a Far Cry type open world clone. 2016 version was supposed to be Homefront: The Revolution and while that had a few cool ideas and concepts, the game was a disaster. really hoping that this doesn't happen with this game but I wouldn't be surprised if it does)
- Yooka-Laylee (an old school 3D plat-former. need I say more? okay, I will. game looks beautiful and is being developed by PlayTonic which consists of mostly ex-Rare employees and by ex-Rare, I mean the great Rare, pre-Microsoft. if you enjoyed Banjo or my personal favorite Conker's Bad Fur Day on Nintendo 64, you should hopefully enjoy this game)
Holy crap!!! I do post novels. Hahahaha. Oh well, whatever. 2016 was a very good year for me but early 2017 is looking even better than early 2016. Hopefully, we'll all have an awesome and amazing year of gaming!!!Comment

Re: 2017 Gaming Plans
Games Released in 2017 That I Want
Ghost Recon Wildlands
MLB The Show 17 (PS4)
Games Purchased in 2017
Pillars of Eternity (PC)
Star Wars Empire at War (PC)
Games Completed in 2017
Valkyria Chronicles (PC – Normal). Great game if you like turn based strategy in the Xcom mold and wanted your little dudes to have more personality. 9 out of 10.
Shadow of Mordor (PC -- 100 per cent) So many Orcs were slaughtered under my blade. 9 out of 10. I’ll play the DLC one day. Think I need a break for now from all the Orc carnage.
Dragon Age Inquisition (PC -- Normal) A masterpiece that took me forever to complete since I did almost all the side quests. My only complaint if you could call it that is that you didn’t really feel like you had control of the battles because your companions did their own thing. I guess I like turn based combat better. 9 out of 10.
It has been a good start to the gaming year.
