My son got Diablo 3 for PS4 last Christmas and it was fun initially but it was way too easy on every difficulty and we quit after a couple days of playing it. Whoever made the stupid decision to lock out the super high difficulties until you complete the story was a moron. When you have no threat of dying the game became boring instead of exciting. I heard the pc version was more difficult but Diablo 3 was the easiest combat I've ever seen.

Kinda funny, I just quit playing Diablo 1 like 5 or so levels into the dungeon because of the same reason (playing the PS1 version on the PSP)

Higher difficulties were also locked in this one. Very dumb, as I'm not gonna play these games more than once. First Diablo had some really cool aesthetics too (atmosphere, music, artstyle..)

Much better than the sequels and I really would enjoy playing a proper cRPG in this setting if it was well done, of course.

Sorry, if you're just hacking thru endless hordes with no difficulty at all or threat of being killed...like he said, it just gets very BORING.


edit: I played Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance (a Diablo like game) with friend recently and we played on a high difficulty where we couldn't just go rushing in or we'd be dead in a second. Had to draw enemies out slower so we wouldn't be overwhelmed, use teamwork and it was actually pretty enjoyable. On the regular difficulty or whatever, it was so easy with no sense of danger at all, it barley held our attention and we quit that mode immediately.

Master difficulty unlocks when you beat act 4 or hit level 50. Torment opens when you hit level 60, and greater rifts scale to a point that they are untreatable.

Just not your kind of game is all, and that's OK.

But it takes too long to unlock those. I'm not willing to put in that many hours of boredom to fix the game. Any dungeon crawl or combat game has to have a challenge. It can't just be about loot or upgrading. It would be as fun as playing Uncharted or DAI on the easiest difficulty level. No thanks. Helldivers certainly didn't have this problem.

Lego games, Overcooked, Diablo 3 (I don't get the complaints, but hundreds of hours in it and definitely not easy), Zombie Army Trilogy, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1/2.

Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls for the win, no question that's what the wife and I have played the most of...

Also, check out Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris as well, it's from an isometric view and its a lot of fun co-op..plus its cheap.. $16

PC version is the same but with seasons/more updates and no Nemesis system, and once you unlock adventure mode it's a different game.

They said PC version has different pacing. Console version has less monsters attacking you at once. It's the reason why they don't natively support controller on pc

The most recent Diablo update for PS4 Pro update added more monsters ganging up on you just FYI..

Seasons is coming soon to consoles as well..
