Live is $50 for the year. Well worth it in my opinion since it gives nearly every game I buy twice the replay value, if not more. It wouldn't shock me if I log 40 hours online with HALO 2 in the first week.

Haha yeah. I get a 4 day weekend, so I can play for more than 40 hours in those 4 days alone.

Hmm, in the one video he shoots a rocket launcher at the Warthog and it just blows up and doesn't even come off the ground; I hope they didn't take away the ability to send the Warthogs flying hundreds of feet through the air cause that was fun.

I watched a brief portion of the lengthy video posted elsewhere in a thread here, and before I stopped watching to avoid spoilers, I saw a Warthog (and it's rider) get blown a considerable distance by a rocket. I believe the rocket was from a tank though..

I'm not going to read any reviews or watch any gameplay movies, because I want the experience to be totally new for me. I did play Halo 1 up to the last level, but I've never played the game with another person, so I think I will dig online play a lot. At least I hope so.
