Looked awesome! Though I'm still confused how the open world aspect works in with the war stuff....this was the specific siege that looked great.

I like how nemesis can be with allies or enemies now...really makes it unique.

      Re: Middle-Earth: Shadow of War

Finally watched the full video. That video show cased a lot of the unlocked type abilities from the first game. I think some of the wraith abilities, while cool, are over powered (shadow strike stuff). It was neat to see you could shoot in slow motion as you jump down from buildings. Some of the combat looked scripted. The executions seem extra brutal this time.

I think this game is a lot more advanced than the first game. I'm not sure how many of the abilities you can upgrade but you can upgrade your armour. Having your own army to advance, promote and be a part of the Nemesis system is cool but I think they missed the boat here. I'd have preferred you fighting with human allies and maybe using some orc spies. But aligning and using orc armies in this battle doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Why not use Rohan or Gondor as allies? I was hoping for more LOTR lore in this. Still feels like a fun, medieval, action game that has Mordor/LOTR slapped on.

The video released was pretty good. Haven't played the first one yet but I heard the one big complaint with it was that the map was small. Hopefully the map is bigger in this game.

Using Orcs as allies means they can betray you, that's why they used them instead of humans

            Humans can betray you too.

I don't know all of the LOTR universe. I've only seen the movies but I don't know if orc armies ever served humans. That seems a real stretch. It's just a game so it will be fun but it feels odd.

Yes but an orc is more difficult to trust and has more reason to betray you than any human

Me too...amazing game a year and a half ago at Black Friday!

It did feel a tad easy by the end if you really used the nemesis and branding stuff and all that, but it was a great game. I'd probably hold off a bit cause i never have time, but i'd get this eventually for sure. Maybe BF this year

Orcs is the middle earth realm were disorganized and lived in small bands with a chieftan. They could never coordinate a large force by themselves. They were only ever organized by humans or human like entities such as Sauron and the Wizard Saruman.

Can't wait for this game. I would love to see more LOTR/Middle Earth games and films come out.

That would be pretty awesome, even after all this time I remember their being one Orc who would always show up at the worst times and beat me. It was so satisfying when I finally tracked him down.

Gamespot released a Q & A yesterday with one of the Devs.

We talk with Monolith's VP of creative Micahel de Plater about Project Scorpio, the new Nemesis system, and Shadow of War's lore.

I don't mind if the powers are extreme. I considered the first the type of game that's enjoyment comes from the myriad of ways you could defeat an enemy.

                              Looking forward to it.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Same here and you die a lot but it just takes more than a few to take you down, the way it should be if you're a lord of the Rings hero!!
