Easily the best FPS ever - and I've played them all.

I really disliked Doom 3, and never cared much for Halo and its overhyped sequel.

I thought Doom 3 was so boring, I still haven't finished it. I love Halo and Halo 2 though. The only thing wrong so far with Half-Life 2 is that stupid steam program that you have to run. If you want to go offline with Steam, goto http://www.steampowered.com and look under Support for Offline Mode. Its rediculous how you have to do that but it should work.

Valve just reconfirmed the Xbox version is still in the works. I wouldn't expect it until mid-late 2005 though, and even then knowing Valve I can see it being pushed back to the Xbox 2 launch.

Ok I have played HL2 for a while and it is GREAT! The sound is very nice as well as the graphics. Seems like everything is able to be picked up, thrown etc...
Anyways after playing for a while I won't be stopping for some time.

The size of the area so far is impressive, from being in tunnels to dodging bullets while running across a roof or 2.
It is a MUST BUY IMO.

Just wait till you get to the boat level. That is so awesome...you find this ramp that you have to put bouyant drums underneath so it rises up and you can ramp it to the next section. This game is amazing

I just got the game late lastnight and I have to say this is easily the best FPS I have ever played. It makes the original Half Life seem so outdated. The physics in the game are so awesome. All the physics in the game are perfect. What my favorite part of the game is the ragdoll type physics for the people in the game. Makes playing CS alot funner. My only question about the game is it possible to play Half Life 2 online or not? Cause I didn't see an option for it in the mainmenu.

There's no multiplayer component for Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike Source fills that void (which comes with the game, btw).
