My first game last night with the new patch.

Should of been a 3 kill win but the darn guy stayed behind the tree after I shot him and died to the gas LOL

Usually I'll die to the gas when I know that someone will kill me if I move anyway, avoids giving them too much credit .

LOL, not me I'm coming out throwing lead.

I've noticed a big no no people do when engaged in this kind of situation.

1) They will start the engagement process (while standing still), if you engage them and land a round, most will screw up here and MOVE then attempt to engage more. This is a critical failure and something you need to train yourself not to do. Remain rock solid, no movement and make each shot count. As they move it forces inaccurate shots, giving you the advantage rather than them retaining the advantage they started with.

The engagement from 51 sec to 1:00 is a good example. He hits me with 4 shots (2% health left) before I'm able to return fire. My first shot lands and you will watch him start to strafe back and forth while firing, I stay dead still and continue to return accurate shots. This small mistake on his part resulted in his death which should of been an easy kill for him.

The one thing I need to train myself to not do is shoot people while running in the death circle. It's so tempting to just take them down from behind if they are in the open, but it ends up screwing me if I'm in the gas. Happened last night when I got 5th place trying to take a guy down in front of me only to die in the gas after I killed him.

Liking the increased damage from grenades as it helps with campers. I was upstairs in a building and a guy threw a grenade up the stairs and I thougt I was a safe distance but still ended up losing half my health to it. Luckily after a gunfight I killed him by rushing down the stairs. Still find that an aggressive playstyle works best as a lot of people play conservative and you can get the drop on them by just rushing them from around a corner.

That just seems like a really boring game (especially mid-game, ending perhaps not as much) to only see/kill two guys?

I wish Blue Hole would enforce a minimum amount of foliage. Too many people turn foliage down to the lowest setting, and the game looks ridiculous, too easy to pick people out. Ruins the spirit of the game, imo

Picked this up over the weekend because I saw it was only $30 on Steam. I've only played three solo games so far, and it barely runs on my PC, but I've been enjoying it.

Finishes so far have been 17th, 10th and 2nd, so feeling pretty good about that, but I'm sure my dumb luck will run out eventually.

My 2nd place game had a really weird finish... I ended up all alone in this underground bunker when there was only single-digits left, and the circle constricted to about the perimeter of said bunker (if I tried to leave, I'd die, if anyone tried to enter they'd die). It ended up being just me and one guy left, he had to have been directly above me. Again, I can't get to him, and he can't get to me. So the circle kept constricting until iy became nothing and I died first because I had lost a tiny bit of health much earlier in the round. Came real close to a 2 kill chicken dinner though.

What are your PC specs & what are you using in game setting wise. You might be able to sneak out more FPS.

I dropped shadows and view distance to low and that has helped it out a lot. The framerate does still drop noticeably when I drive a longer distance in a short amount of time, presumably because it's trying to render a lot more objects, but it's not as bad as before I changed that.

I have everything else set to medium. The only thing that's really bugging me now is the sounds are coming through very "scratchy" sounding and obnoxious. I use a TV as a monitor through an HDMI cord so I don't know if that's why.
