I'll show an example of how I approach landing & loot. It's not conventional and this style is normally over looked.

General Idea
Address the direction of the flight path (red), take note of all high traffic landing zones (yellow) within the possible skydive ranges from the plane (Green). Next find a landing zone along a road which will give plenty of flight time to find a vehicle. This vehicle will then be driven immediately to a high density loot area far far from the planes flight path. This will give you VERY few people to contend with and much greater chance at finding high value gear (lvl 3 backpack, lvl 2 helmet+, M4, VSS, and possible loot crate dropped far away from people).

Positive
High value loot chance
Few people to contend with
Kill time for the large kill off early round
Survive to mid to late game

Negative
Early game is spent lootless
Long driving/boating times
Chances of circle bouncing far away, limiting time to loot
Can be a bit boring early match.

Got my first solo chicken dinner tonight!

For all the "I don't know who killed me from where" deaths...the unexpected kill for the win makes up for all of them.

Nice man. I still haven't gotten a chicken dinner, but I did get 2nd place the other day for the first time. I feel like I had a good shot at the win but the final circle really screwed me. I had no choice but to run straight to the top of a hill where the last person was waiting. I got a couple shots off but I was already low health with no time to heal.

I'll get there someday. Been playing a lot of duos with my brother in law. We've gotten close a few times but have yet to win.

Nice man. I still haven't gotten a chicken dinner, but I did get 2nd place the other day for the first time. I feel like I had a good shot at the win but the final circle really screwed me. I had no choice but to run straight to the top of a hill where the last person was waiting. I got a couple shots off but I was already low health with no time to heal.

There was 4 people left and someone was shooting me from my right but I couldn't see him. I had a guy behind the tree in my screenshot and I stayed concentrated on him. Got the kill and the win popped up. Haha I was pumped.

Squad and duo's are great with people who communicate and work together. I'm on a discord where there's constantly people playing and they're cool for the most part but I felt like going solo yesterday. Played 3 mediocre matches before getting the win.

I'll send you the link to the one I'm on when I get home. I randomly found it and it's all random people but there are a ton of people and they always get squads going.

Never had a bad experience with anyone there.

Battlegrounds producer Chang-han Kim reportedly told Inven, “There is something called ‘Game Preview’ on Xbox One. It’s like Early Access for Xbox. We have the game running on that and are in process of polishing it. For the release, we’ll both release it on PlayStation and Xbox.”

I found this, pretty cool website to look at all your stats in game. I was interested in how many rounds I've played this season, 53 rounds so far. with 2 wins and 9 top 10s.

Why is this game still in early access mode...that everybody can purchase on PC? This is confusing to me.

Early access is basically a rough term now. Pretty much every game that comes out is in "early access" nowadays, instead big triple developers will wrap that with "4 DLC packs coming", instead of saying early access.

Granted that is slightly different for PUBG at the moment. They released in early access and the game was very rough, with terrible optimization. It still needs lots of optimizing but for the most part everything is working as intended. You add to the fact the team is working extremely hard on patches and monthly updates the game has progressed relatively fast from a rough early access title to feeling almost like a full release. At the moment the game still has a long way to go till finished, thus the early access tag.

You have these big features which are still in the works being added, so its more than just "DLC" like maps or guns (2 new maps and more guns are coming) but core mechanics to the game.

So while I agree early access tags can be a bit confusing, its far from a finished title so I think the tag fits well AND its exciting for console gamers to finally get in on the early access stuff. Pay less early on to basically be a tester and plus have the chance to play earlier. Its a win win for me, since if I know I'm 100% going to play a title once it goes gold, I'm taking part in early access.

Its a win win for me, since if I know I'm 100% going to play a title once it goes gold, I'm taking part in early access.

Would love to have early access option on consoles with more games in the future.
