I finished FC4, but for me it started dragging about half-way through the story. My fear is the same experience will occur here.

My experience so far has been "There's a story?" It's continuing the trend of Ubisoft open world games really improving the mission system. And it's even less restrictive in terms of railroading you into where to explore than Origins.

I agree with this. Unfortunately, that doesn't entice me! It's a me thing.

I feel like there are probably some great missions but instead of getting to the good stuff, I'm aimlessly walking around trying to find it. Meanwhile, I'm in shootouts every other second when I just want to get somewhere and start a mission.

That's good to hear. FC3 struck a great balance between it's story (which was really propelled by two great characters) and open-world gameplay. The second half dipped a little bit, but it is such a strong game through and through. FC4 maintained the gameplay, but none of the characters were interesting or compelling. Even the "choice" you make is a little ham-fisted and eye-rolling.

I really want to pick this up just for the enemy AI types and the early access to FC3. I also just started Yakuza Zero and that is definitely a trip in and of itself.

Yeah, and that's what I actually like about it. Love the fact that they don't give you that little on screen inset map. It makes it feel more like you're out there surviving instead of going from point A to point B for no reason other than to clear a question mark or receive a mission.

Missions sort of just pop out of nowhere. You save a person and suddenly they tell you about their friend over at such and such farm. Or you could have found that friend yourself later because you accidentally shot the hostage that would have given you that info.

I don't understand the logic behind guys falling out of a vehicle once they're shot dead. How can they open the door? Doesn't make sense.

The bodies have to go on the ground so you can loot them somehow lol. FarCry logic.

Speaking of vehicles, they FINALLY made driving a vehicle have normal video game controls! Driving is still bad though.

I like it that cars are completely modeled - I mean when you look back or out of the car you get a pretty realistic perspective, it looks really good. I wish WD2 had this view.

Man this is killing me. My best friend was getting me this for my Birthday because money is a little tight right now.

My Birthday was Saturday last week and my friend got deployed unexpectedly, he is on a quick response emergency task force type of thing, I'm not even sure where he is. So he never sent me the code. I am like "Dude I know you are busy like saving lives and the world and stuff, but could like take a break for a second and send me the code.......?"

Obviously I am kidding and only really want him home safe and sound, but I REALLY want to play this.

                      Especially in co-op.......................with him.

The one thing I was pleasantly surprised by was the variety of licensed music you come across on the radios in the game. I haven't heard one repeat yet, so I looked to see if I could find a list.

                        Here it is:

Off to Spotify to make this a playlist! There are even two Duluth bands in there

Is there any point at which the airplanes and helicopters go away or at least chill the hell out a bit? They’re actually starting to take some of the fun out of this game. 😞
