Matterfall is a fast paced 2D side scrolling twin stick shooter from the developer Housemarque. For anyone who's played the 2011 2D platform classic Outland (which was my own personal game of the year for 2011) knows exactly how great Housemarque is. They simply do nothing but develop great games every time and Matterfall is guaranteed to be no exception. Matterfall releases on August 15th, 2017 for $20 exclusively on PlayStation 4.

The announcement trailer didn't do anything for me. But after watching the gameplay trailer and the level play through, this game has my attention.
