Problem:GTA SA related

I been playing grand theft for 2 weeks now, im at the "Breaking the bank at the casino" mission, I have no problem with this mission, I go through and do everything. My problem comes in at the end where I go for the parachute. i always just walk through it. It wont let me pick it up. I have shot away all my weapons, ive jumped off and killed myself 5 times, i even went back a few missions and replayed to this point and the same thing always happens. I figure Im the only one this happened to cause there is nothing on the internet about others having this problem. If anyone can hook me up that would be awsome.

Hold onto L1 when you're running into the parachute.

The problem is there are about 3 or 4 tiers of weapons on this game. The parachute happens to be with a certain other 2 or 3 weapons of different tiers. Maybe it's the same set of tiers that you use with the camera and spray can, I don't know. All that I'm saying is that you can only have one of these things at a time, so to replace one of them with your own, you have to hold onto L1 and they will switch.

Same with the sniper rifle and the laser scope sniper rifle. They are the same weapons of different tiers, so you can't have them both at the same time. You must swap by holding onto L1 when you run into the weapon to receive it.

thanks bro, it did the trick. to think i played this mission through like 6 times and all i had to do was press l1. crazy. thanks again.
