First person games often have that effect on me. Far Cry 3 was the worst. I couldn’t play that game for ten minutes without suffering from severe nausea and headaches. I think developers are doing something different with their games because I was able to play Far Cry Primal without having any issues.

Re: Does anyone suffer from motion sickness playing video games?
I get that all the time.
I am unable to play first person games because of the quick moving cam.
After just 5 minutes it would make me throw up.
I even get it when playing GTA sometimes, again if i move the cam too quickly.
Always had it.Comment

john woo presents stranglehold? was the the name?
The only game I've had that happened to me and I had to return it because it was making me nauseous. weird. I think GTA might have if I played it, because one thing 3rd person games are doing to make it more 'immersive' is adding camera shake/wobble etc. which wouldn't do anyone any favours in this dept.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Regular gaming doesn’t but VR does. I did a barrel roll on one of the flying games and I thought I was gonna die for about an hour. 3 years of being underway and I got seasick once but VR is different for me for some reason.

I️ don’t play in the dark and I️ always keep Ginger Ale in the fridge. Also I️ don’t sit to close to the tv. Has helped me tremendously doing the above.

Re: Does anyone suffer from motion sickness playing video games?
For those who play FPS, do any of the following remedies help?
1) Playing at a different framerate (60 FPS vs. 30 FPS).
2) Playing games that don't have a running bounce to their step.
3) Tweaking the aim sensitivity slider lower.
The reason I mention the first one is because I remember when TLoU Re-mastered had been released and the 60 FPS option became available, turning it on for me was a godsend (with 30 FPS actually feeling somewhat nauseating for once) while at least one other gamer mentioned that 60 FPS was nauseating for them and they had to stick with 30 FPS.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Does anyone suffer from motion sickness playing video games?
This happens to me, and I hate it; the wooziness and nausea are unbearable. It's one of the main reasons why most of my gaming is sports related. Sometimes I can make it through a few hours of Skyrim of FO4, but even that is tough.
There are a few things that help me out.
- Playing for several days consecutively seems to build up a tolerance.
- Lowering aim speed and avoiding rapid turning. Strafing helps too (e.g. strafe left while slowly turning right).
- Sitting farther away from the TV. Frustrating because some things get hard to see, but at least it's bearable.
Haven't tried many different displays or frame rates, but I'll give it a try.Comment

Re: Does anyone suffer from motion sickness playing video games?
I have this issue too, mainly with fps or 3rd person games like Just Cause 3 (though I only briefly played the game).
For some reason, battlefield 1 doesn't often make me feel motion sickness and I mostly play it at night with a light turned on. I have had some issues with motion sickness with bf1 before though. And I'm playing bf1 on a ps4 slim and I believe the fps is around 25-30.
I wish I didn't have this issue so that I could play other fps or 3rd person games.

I ended up going to the hospital after playing for a few hours straight . When i tried to go to sleep it felt like by eyes were spinning and i was so nauseous. Probably the worst feeling i ever had.
