    The Evil Within 2

I didn't see a thread for the game so i started one.

I'm really enjoying the game so far and think it's very similar to Resident Evil 4. I like the challenge it provides even on normal difficulty.

You need to be careful with your resources and know when to be stealthy instead of trying to shoot everything.

You get a nice variety of weapons like pistols, shotgun, sniper rifle and a crossbows that can shoot different types of projectiles. You have a combat knife and find axes from time to time. You can pick up and throw bottles to distract the zombies??? Or whatever they are.

There's a crafting and weapon upgrade system via work benches you find throughout the map, also a character upgrade system.

I didn't play the first game, but i think this one does a decent job of putting the story together so you don't feel like you need to play the first.

Overall if you like survival horror games, i think you'll like this one too. If you scare easy don't buy it lol, because you will have goosebumps and be startled a lot.

Note: PS4 Pro upscales the game to 1260p and Xbox One X upscales it 1800p.

The first one is great. It is $20 digitally right now as well.

I beat the game a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it. It's a pretty long game around 20 hours so a lot of content.

It does play a bit different than the first as it's more of an action game vs horror this time around. You will still see some crazy stuff but you have more ways to combat it.

I never played the first one, but this is pretty interesting so far. I enjoyed the most recent Resident Evil game, so I figured I'd try something similar. Like a poster above me said, resource management seems to be very important. If you spray like Rambo, it's not going to be in your best interest.

The first one was fun. I really liked it. My favorite horror game this gen. Haven't played the 2nd yet. I will get it eventually.

Just curious, why couldn't you finish it? I never played them but was curious why you couldn't finish it?

The second half of the game just fell apart in every way IMO and i just couldn't push myself to finish it.

I'm finding this to be pretty damn fantastic. I only played the demo for the first game because I was turned off by the controls. There's still some nice weight to Sebastian, but everything feels more fluid and just much more mechanically polished in comparison.

Up to chapter 10 and 23 hours played on Nightmare. It's been super tense and rewarding on this difficulty. I've spent so much time in the open areas just exploring, scavenging for resources, and stealthily taking out everything. I've seen it mentioned by others, but it's spot on, this is a much better executed Silent Hill: Downpour.

Finished. Absolutely loved it. The last few chapters and final boss were great, and the story really came together in the end. I didn't play the first beyond the demo, but it was easy to follow along. It's very straightforward and if you read this official story FAQ, you will be good.
