NBA 2K 18Houston defeats Toronto. I'm in the off-season. My Brooklyn season was bad as I was last in wins. Okafor played brilliantly for me so I signed him to a new 3-yr deal. When I restart again, Cleveland gets the 1st pick. No need to tell you which pick that was origianally for.
Star Trek VR: Bridge CrewStill play it in my rotation. One of my best vr game play experiences.
End SpaceGood quick single-player mission game at half price or more.
ArchangelDecent story and graphics as you play a giant mech in this science fiction combat play. Highly recommended when on half price sales or better.
Detroit: Become HumanOne of the best games I've played. Engaging story and characters.
Call of Duty: WW2 A keeper for WW2 stories with possible playback again for me. Campaign felt rushed towards the end. Ending somewhat not memorable.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2Star Wars graphics and audio were superb and top notch. Campaign Mode could have been so much more. Shriv character was fantastic. Commander Versio was an interesting story-line. But, it all felt flat in the end for me.
Monster Hunter: WorldEnjoyed what little time I had available playing it.
Madden 18Seattle defeats New England
MLB: The Show 17Cleveland Indians defeat LA Dodgers

Re: 2018 Gaming Plans
Not fond of quoting my own posts but in this case it is warranted. Played the battlefield beta and liked it so will most likely be getting that but the one game that has my attention after playing the blackout beta is cod. Did not like the mp beta but loved the blackout beta so I will be getting cod also. Already pre ordered it as a matter of factPurple people eatersComment

Re: 2018 Gaming Plans
I've got so many games in my backlog that I really think I'm done buying games for the year, including RDR 2. I really want to get through games that I've started and haven't finished because I continue to buy the newest title out and play it and then rinse and repeat. There are two revisions to this plan:
1) I will continue to buy retro games as I find them
2) Black Friday or sale prices may sway me to buy
Other than that, I really need to take a break from adding to my collection and work on completing what I have. And all of this while I continuously play MLB '18.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: 2018 Gaming Plans
I just went through my Amazon wish list. I literally have ONE game on it (Spiderman). That's it! (Now I don't add stuff that is more than a few months out...so a game like CyberPunk will be a day-1 buy but isn't on there yet).
I'll probably put RDR2 and AC: Odyssey on the list just to bulk up the Christmas list...but they will probably go like the every other open-world game does for me...I'll play 2 hours, get overwhelmed with the over-sized map, not touch it for weeks...forget what happened, start over, play 2 hours, get overwhelmed again...and then uninstall.....revisit months later and go through the same process.
Maybe I can actually work on my backlog for a while.....Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Re: 2018 Gaming Plans
Right now, content playing all of the games I own, although admittedly, I haven't been in the mood for lengthy gameplay sessions.
At this point, I think the only game I'm looking to add to the library is Spider-Man once that goes on sale.Currently Playing:
MLB The Show 25 (PS5)Comment

Re: 2018 Gaming Plans
My <insert year> gaming plans never seems to involve games released in that year. I'm so far behind.
It used to be a money thing growing up, but now it's a time thing. I start every year with high hopes of playing some of the new stuff, but that never happens.
Things like "Oh, the entire Dead Space trilogy was released on Games with Gold over the course of this year. Always wanted to play, but never did on the 360, so yeah, I'll play those games this fall" happen to me all the time.
Friend drops off a copy of Resident Evil 7. "Oh, ok, yeah, I want to play that. I'll get to that after I finish Dead Space, and before I jump into Dead Space 2."
RDR2, Spider-Man, God of War... can't wait to play them, but 2020 is probably when I'll get to them.Comment

Re: 2018 Gaming Plans
Same here.
I know it’s a great game, but RDR has just never grabbed my attention, for whatever reason.
Spider-Man and maybe NBA 2K (or Playgrounds if they fix some things) are all that’s on my to-buy list for the rest of the year. BF/Christmas sales could change that.Comment
