Slay The Spire
Anybody else try this game? Its in Steam early access, and I am having a blast with it. It is a rogue-like deck building combat game. There are some really fun synergies, but some aren't so obvious, which adds a layer of challenge. Enemy variety is good and some of their skills can counter what you are trying to do.

Re: Slay The Spire
This game is slowly becoming my unexpected game of the year. Been a while since I played a game that gave me this "one more game" feeling so often. -

Heard great review of this on Gamers With Jobs Podcast. Downloaded it but haven't tried it yet. Might be my project for the week.Comment

Re: Slay The Spire
It's pretty fun and challenging. Took me 6 tries to beat it for the first time with the Ironclad.
It can be really tough to get a run going, but once you do it's pretty fun to build a deck with enough synergies to take you all the way to the end.
Here's the stats screen from that completed run:
Spoiler
There were three keys to this deck - gaining strength through Inflame and a couple other cards and relics, having several multi-hit cards to take full advantage of that strength, and Perfected Strikes boosted by having a large number of Strike cards in the deck. And I had to kind of work it out as I went along through the game.
Pummel, for being a 1 energy card, was absolutely invaluable for its 4 hits, since it kept stacking with strength and allowed me to deal out some massive damage. I actually one-shotted the final boss of the run (after it powered up) with 2 of them in a turn.

Re: Slay The Spire
Absolutely love hate the game. Love it because it's fun. Hate it because I can't beat The Defects' Act 3 boss. My wife got passed it, though, So I'm happy for her.
