I don't know yet. Looks a little rough. Surely doesn't look like their trailers that's for sure. Game is releasing Nov 6 on consoles. Nov 8 on PC. It'll be a wait and see for me. Comments from the booths say it reminds them of State of Decay. Here's their E3 Gameplay Trailer

Got a beta key so I hope to check it out tonight or in am. I'm a bit tired right now.

So this is a 4 player co-op game which is like a hoard mode?

I didn't play nearly enough to know what it all entails.. Might get more time with it tonight if feeling better.

That sounds like it's almost a mix of Call of Duty Zombies how you must progress through gates and waves increase the slower you manage doing it.

I was hoping for more L4D style of moving through missions. I hope that's more the lean.

Re: Overkill's The Walking Dead (Ps4/XB1/PC)

Managed to get a little more time with this:
I'll post the settings etc.. in case you're curious

Main map only has 5 options:
1:Go to your camp which has storage, weapon upgrade options etc.. Your basic "Home Base" stuff.
                      2 - 5 are Story missions:
Two where you defend your camp while under attack and Two where you have to go to the other "Families" camp and steal something.
I'm sure other stuff will be there once game goes live.

As far as the weapons.. they don't really feel like they have any "substance/weight" to them right now.
Could just be me but everything seems muffled.
Used pistol, sniper and crossbow so far.

Right now there is no running past the walkers lol
They will always grab you unless you have a decent distance away from them.

2 difficulty modes in beta: Normal and Hard with 2 more with Lock symbol on them.

You can set up your team as private and invite friends if you don't want to play with randoms.

Not really impressed so far but things can change going forward.

First pic looks like where Glen almost died the first time on the TV show, when he was under that guy who got ate.

I had high hopes for this game but from the reviews I've been reading it is an epic fail. A shame no one can make a decent walking dead game.

"Sometimes a game just doesn’t work out. Despite lots of time, a strong property, and capable development talent, the experience fails to solidify. In the case of Overkill’s The Walking Dead, major technical problems and connection issues, baffling gameplay systems and controls, tedious combat and stealth, and poorly structured missions all contrive to halt the fun. A deep and rewarding upgrade and progression path hides behind the mess, but you’re unlikely to enjoy it, as the game fails to offer meaningful engagement."

Just one of many and they all say basically the same thing.

Appreciate the feedback fellas. Was hoping this game can be that Dead Survival game too.

Although, the other 4 co-op 3rd person game, World War Z looked better during the gaming shows and its expected launch is next year, I'm afraid it will only turn into just a pure shooter.
