Never played much of the campaigns in any CODs. Mulitiplayer is what it's all about. Looking forward to it.

While I end up spending more time in multiplayer than single player over the long run, the fact they are entirely skipping a single player campaign (which is bull**** in my opinion) makes this no longer a day one or even month one purchase.

The fact that they are entirely removing a substantial game mode and yet still charging full price for it (which is even bigger bull**** in my opinion) means this is getting ignored until it drops below $20 or $30 in a sale, if I ever bother to get it at all.

It's like they're trying to be a Destiny type game without actually giving you everything. We'll see what they officially do, but this guarantees I'll never play a CoD again.

I wish they would expand and add a mode with much bigger maps and vehicles , planes, helicopters , tanks , lav's and so on like Battlefield 4.
I don't know what they thought they were doing with that campaign but it was an absolute garbage experience. I ran it co-op with a friend, and we often found ourselves even questioning why we were continuing. That was easily the worst COD campaign that I've ever played.

As far as multiplayer goes, Blops 3 was the last one that I actually enjoyed. The maps were awful in Infinite Warfare, and I have very little interest in WWII guns. I pretty much know what COD is at this point, but hopefully, they do a decent job with this one.

Now to watch Activision still charge 60$ for the game.

I'll expect all the people who just buy this game for the offline campaign to be dipping out of this thread now lol.

Bold move by them, we'll see if they sink or swim. I can care less about campaigns with any of these shooter games myself. I rarely play the campaigns thru, as I'm a multi player shooter guy.

I'm also guessing their price point is going to be lower than traditional $60 by removing campaign. They're gonna go ham with the micro transactions tho. Skins and whatnot.

I'm taking it that they're still planning on dropping this for $60 too? Wack.

I really wish I could see the appeal in Zombies. I keep hoping that this mode would drop off the face of the earth so we can get Spec Ops back in one of these releases, but it clearly must be very popular.

Since I usually stop playing online in COD after a week or two; having a campaign mode to fall back on gave me a reason to buy these at launch. Unless what they show us looks spectacular (which I doubt), this will probably be a hard pass for me. A very bold move indeed. It will be interesting to see how it plays out for them.

Obviously rumors are rumors, but if this is the case Activision is making it really easy for me to ignore this year's installment in the franchise and exclusively play Battlefield V.

I hope they have an offline 4-player splitscreen option. I miss the X360 days where this was an option in a bunch of shooters....
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Same here. I'm not a fan of the futuristic stuff so if this is the case I'll stick with WW2 for my FPS fix.

well if this is the case they better not be charging $65 for the game then. Doesn't matter to be as RDR2 will own my soul around this time anyway.

Watching the event via Twitch. Yep, this COD isn't for me. Not a fan of the "hero shooters" and zombies does nothing for me. There are other games I could play that do things better.
