Damn. I wish I could play this game to experience the story, but I can't get use to the control scheme. It would take me 2 years to finish it. Sucks for me.

must be your first time playing Metal Gear? Play the first 2 first then move on to 3.

Play the Gamecube Metal Gear 1 (way better then the ps1 title)
then move on to MGS 2 and 3

As a remake TTS is pretty average...but when directly compared to MGS1 it's the one to go with...the only things wrong are the easier boss fights and lack of new content compared to what Capcom did with REmake. The key thing is the AI and graphics in the PS1 version are very dated. TTS is actually hard if you force yourself to not use any MGS2 gadgets or features which is what I did.

I just wan't to know one thing, Was snake eater supose to have happend before MGS 2 Sons of liberty. Like is the seriers backwards? Anyway I love this game.

This one takes place during the very begginning of the long cold war which some of you are too young to remember. I beleive its Liquid Snakes adventure. If u played d first 2 then you know snake has a twin brother Liquid Snake both with the code name "snake". Hideo Kojima always wanted to be a director and his games are very very deep beyond just playing the game lots of easter eggs and what I call psychological art. So to answer your question is the series backwards I would say Yes and No. Finish the game and you will find out all the mysterys behind Raiden and The Twin Snakes. There are tons of easter eggs in the game even some that some dont know yet

If you like Metal Gear Solid series then I would recommend you play Hideos other game called Zone of the Enders (they go hand in hand)

Metal Gear 3 is actually Metal Gear 4 there is a prevously released game only in Japan called Metal Gear 1 released on MSX and Nintendo (released in america) dont get the american one get the japanese translated. In MG1, the messages of people, especially Big Boss, are carefully placed, and so many of what were explained "sudden illogical urge", can be rationally explained if you try to. So Metal Gear 2 is actually 3 and so on.

Without spoiling anything, NO you do not play as Liquid, Solid, Solidus, or any other. Raiden isn't in this game either. Snake Eater is a prequel to Metal Gears 1-2 and Metal Gear Solid 1-2.

Play on and you'll find out who you are controlling if you haven't yet.
