What the heck am I doing, lol?
I found rocks and branches and crafted a hammer and pickaxe.
How do you get twill or other supplies?
Should I be looking at constructing a base of some kind?

My guy is very weak. I can't kill anything, lol. These savages nearby (watering hole) keep taking me down. I hit them with my pickaxe and it barely tickles them, lol.

        Downloaded and will try tonight.

Anyone still playing? Is it still worth the time?
I just started playing it and, like you, have basically no idea what I'm doing. To say the game doesn't hold your hand would be an understatement. I don't even know if there's some overarching narrative to this ordeal or if it just comes down to "don't die."

I have managed to collect a bunch of resources and build a very small shack to store things. I also figured out you need to use an axe (or hatchet) to harvest most things, including hides from animals and humans.

I crafted a sword for a weapon, but it isn't overly impressive, so I'm guessing there are better choices. I find combat to be quite difficult, and the controls aren't exactly intuitive. Seems it comes down to mostly timing - dodge and then strike. Taking on more than one enemy at a time is a big no-no for me. Easy to get overwhelmed and killed.

My next goal is to explore further out of the starting area, though I really don't know where to go or what I'm supposed to do when exploring.

LOL, yeah I'm in the same boat. Took me a while to figure out to hack apart animals for meat and resources.
I'm getting stronger so some of the threats in my area aren't as hard to kill any more. But like you mentioned, unlike Tiger Woods at a Perkins convention, I can only handle one at a time at the moment (ZING!).

Thinking about picking it up on PC. Still trying to scratch that action, adventure/survival itch.
